Abstract

The piles (1) decrease in size in direction of setting. They are subjected to vibrations (9), to and fro in longitudinal pile direction, and in this way are driven into the ground (2) until they reach a position, which is slightly short of their final position. The vibrations are stopped, and a pressure or traction force (10), free of vibrations, and acting in direction of insertion, is applied to the pile, until it is held in the ground with a certain prestress. Initially, each pile is drawn or pressed into the ground over part (5) of its length, without vibrations, which are applied after this process. The piles consist of concrete and decrease in size conically or in an arch-shape.
