Abstract

The watch case has a carrier (1) for the watch mechanism, enclosed between upper and lower watch case halves (3,7), directly secured to the carrier via fixing screws (33). The carrier incorporates a pair of seals (5,6), respectively cooperating with the upper and lower watch case halves, to provide a water-tight seal for the watch mechanism. Pref. the upper and lower watch case halves are formed as pressed metal housing shells.
