Abstract

1. Plate-like step or stair having a composite construction with a surface covering, characterized in that it has an all-round frame (1, 1") whose top and bottom are fixed in each case to a plate (5, 6, 5", 6") covering the same and that the space bounded by frame (1, 1") and plates (5, 6, 5", 6") is filled with a filler constructed as a wood honeycomb structure (11, 11") made from soda kraft paper or the like and glued to the plates (5, 6, 5", 6") and frame (1, 1"), the latter being reinforced by cross-members (4, 4") and comprises wooden, glued together longitudinal spars (2, 2") and transverse spars (3, 3a", 3b").
