Abstract

A plastics container has a rectangular base with a series of sub-floor strengthening ribs (4) running in both directions. The container base further has side-flaps (8-11) which are an integral part of the crate and incorporated at the injection molding production stage. The side flaps are folded under the container base and are locked in place by a harpoon tip. The folded side flaps provide a smooth surface for conveyer table rollers.
