Abstract

1. A decorative material applicable to a material to be decorated, e.g. textile material, having a carrier sheet and a melt adhesive layer applied in a pattern by means of the screen printing technique, characterized in that a melt adhesive layer (2) is applied in a pattern by means of the screen printing technique to the side opposite the carrier sheet (3) of a decorative sheet comprising at least a carrier sheet (3) and an effect layer (6), the effect layer having a thickness such that when the carrier sheet (3) is removed after application the effect layer (3) tears at the boundary between areas coated with melt adhesive and areas not coated with melt adhesive.
