Abstract

The invention relates to a device (1) for applying a liquid to cut edges of metal sheet components (12), comprising at least one stamp device (14) having a stamp surface which corresponds to the contour of a workpiece edge to be wetted. The device is constructed in such a manner that the stamp edge or edges and the workpiece can move towards each other and are arranged in such a way that the stamp edges, wetted with the liquid, can be brought into contact with a workpiece edge. The invention also relates to a method for coating machined edges.
