Abstract

The boiler consists of a water-conducting housing (10) with a combustion chamber (2) arranged therein, out of the end of which a hot gas duct (11) which surrounds the combustion chamber (2) extends to a flue gas vent (13) arranged approximately at the level of the burner. The hot gas duct (11) is bounded in this arrangement against the water-conducting interior (14) by a pot-like insert (3), whose bottom (1) is opposite the open end of the combustion chamber (2). In order to prevent the formation of condensate on the bottom (1), according to the invention the boiler is constructed in such a way that the bottom (1) of the insert (3), which is arranged with its longitudinal axis (2) vertical, is formed from at least two shells (4, 5) which are pressed together, and the edge region of the inner shell (4) is arranged below the cross-section of the hot gas duct (11). <IMAGE>
