Abstract

The invention concerns a solid-fuel, inverted-draught boiler comprising a water jacket (19) to be heated and a storage area (1) of the fuel, which is arranged above a combustion chamber (6) from which it is separated by a plate (4) provided with at least one passage (5) for communication between the storage area and the said combustion chamber, while the latter is partially surrounded by the water jacket (19) and communicates with a smoke box. This boiler is especially noteworthy in that the passage (5) of the plate (4) is extended by a muff (9) which emerges into the upper part of the combustion chamber (6) in which an ash pan (7) is provided. <IMAGE>
