Abstract

Moteur à combustion interne à six temps à pistons alternatifs. Les six temps sont l'aspiration de l'air, la première compression accompagnée ou suivie d'un refroidissement éventuel, la deuxième compression suivie de la combustion, la première détente produisant un travail utile, la deuxième détente produisant également un travail utile et finalement le refoulement des gaz comburés. Ce nouveau moteur, dont la combustion est à allumage soit commandé (version essence), soit spontané (version Diesel), comportera de préférence un multiple de cinq cylindres non-uniformes. Il aura un rendement énergétique qui peut etre jusqu'à 30% plus élevé que celui d'un moteur à combustion interne à quatre temps.
