Abstract

Procédé commode de préparation d'alpha-alkyl-gamma-butyrolactones et -delta-valérolactones. Le procédé en question implique la formation de l'alpha-alkylidènelactone par la réaction de proportions sensiblement équimolaires d'une alpha-acyl-lactone, d'un aldéhyde et d'un hydroxyde de métal alcalin dans un diluant inerte et à température élevée, tout en éliminant l'eau et en hydrogénant l'alpha-alkylidène-lactone pour parvenir à l'alpha-alkyl-lactone correspondante.
