Abstract

On décrit un ensemble de soupape unique qui a une utilité particulière dans les compresseurs à volutes. L'ensemble comprend une plaque de soupape relativement mince formée d'acier de soupape à lame. Cette plaque a une épaisseur inférieure à 0,05 pouce et est déformable élastiquement par application d'une pression de fluide. Le fluide sous pression dans une chambre formée au-dessus de la plaque la déforme donc pour l'ajuster au siège de soupape. Dans certaines formes de réalisation, une attache maintient la plaque sur le siège. L'attache, également d'acier élastique mince, offre une surface d'arrêt pour le siège. Lorsque la plaque est entraînée dans sa position d'ouverture, elle vient donc en contact avec l'attache, produisant un effet de rappel élastique en réponse au mouvement rapide de la plaque vers sa position d'ouverture.
