ches extrêmes, disposées parallèlement, comportent des logements où s'engage l'axe d'articulation porté par le manche, ce qui donne toute facilité pour le mettre en place ou l'enlever instantanément.
La garniture qui surmonte la frange est réunie de façon amovible à la monture et à cet effet elle porte du côté interne deux ourlets recevant des cordes de serrage et susceptibles de s'appliquer le long de la monture de part et d'autre de celle-ci.
Aux dessins annexés, on a représenté à titre d'exemple un balai conforme à l'invention:

La partie frottante du balai est constituée à la manière ordinaire par une frange 1 formée d'un certain nombre de brins de matière textile ou autre, engagés dans une garniture 2 qui s'adapte sur la monture. Celle-ci est, dans l'exemple représenté aux dessins, constituée par une barre métallique plate 4, présentant une certaine élastici-

té et recourbée en forme de coeur. Les branches extrê- mes 5 de cette barre sont percées d'ouvertures 6 où s'en- gage un axe 7 porté par une douille 8 qui reçoit le manche 9
Lorsqu'on veut séparer le manche de la monture, il suffit d'écarter les deux branches 5 l'une de l'autre, ce qui est facile grâce à leur élasticité et l'on dégage ainsi très aisément des ouvertures 6, l'axe de pivotement 7.
La remise en place du manche s'effectue instantanément par la. manoeuvre inverse.
Afin d'assujettir la frange sur la monture, on a prévu, du côté intérieur de la garniture 2, des ourlets 10 et 11 formant des gaines souples dans lesquelles s'en- filent des cordons 12. Des crochets 13 sont prévus sur les branches élastiques 5 de manière à recevoir les extrémités de ces cordons. Ceux-ci exerçant un serrage sur les our- lets 10 et 11, du coté intérieur, appliquent fortement la garniture 2 contre la monture 4, et la fixation ainsi réa- lisée est très solide.

est possible de la séparer instantanément de la monture, car il suffit de détacher les cordons de serrage pour li- bérer la garniture 2. De même la mise en place de cette garniture est immédiate. On peut donc très commodément remplacer la frange pour la faire laver.
Il est bien entendu que l'invention n'est pas limitée à la forme d'exécution représentée à titre d'exem- ple. La monture pourrait être notamment courbée suivant tout contour convenable.
En outre, le dispositif qui a été indiqué pour la fixation d'une frange de balai peut également s'appli- quer à d'autres ustensiles de nettoyage et notamment à des plumeaux.
