   Pour fixer le capot du moteur au châssis des automobiles,   on utilise généralement des fixateurs à ressort à boudin/lesquels @   au début exigent un effort relativement considérable pour leur maniement,mais bientôt ne permettent plus d'assurer une fixation suffisante,de telle sorte qu'il se produit au moindre choc des br.uits désagréables. 



   Le dispositif faisant l'objet de la présente invention ob-   vie à ces   inconvénients,tout en étant- d'une grande simplicité. 



  Il est essentiellement constitué par un ressort plat articulé d'une part sur un étrier monté sur le châssis.et d'autre part sur une poignée,dont l'extrémité recourbée peut embrasser une pièce en forme de crochet fixée au capot,de telle sorte que sous la tension du   ressort)le   capot se trouve rigidement relié au châssis. Le capot est évidemment maintenu par plusieurs disposi- tifs analogues judicieusement répartis. 



   Ce dispositif est applicable dans tous les cas où il s'agit de réunir deux pièces entre elles,et le dessin annexé à ce mémoi- re montre, à titre d'exemple,une forme d'exécution appliquée à une automobile.

   Sur 1- châssis I,en des endroits opporopriés, l'on fixe des étriers 2 traversés par un axe servant d'articulation à un res- sort plat   3, dont   l'autre extrémité porte un axe 4,autour duquel pivote librement une poignée 5.D'autre part sur la capot$ 6 de la voiture sont fixés des crochets 7 en forme de fourche dont la courbure correspond à celle qui existe à 1 'extrémité libre8des poignées 5. 



   Le carat 6 étant abaissé,pour le   fixer@au   chassis I,on fait pivoter le ressort plat 3 autour de l'étrier 2 de manière à ame- ner   l'extraite   recourbée 8 de la poignée 5 contre une saillie 9   du   crochet   7.-On   continue ensuite à   faire   pivoter la poignée,en prenant cette saillie 9 comme point d'appu de telle sorte   que *0   sous la tension du ressort,la poignée'se fixe dans la position indiquée en   Fig.I   et   2,où   elle exerce une pression 'énergique qui applique le capot 6 contre la bordure habituelle prévue au ca- dre du radiateur et au tablier de la voiture. 



   Grâce à ces   dispositifs,le   capot se trouve fixé,sans crain- te de le voir jouer et par suite devenir bruyant,le ressort plat 3 ne pouvant perdre son élasticité aussi aisément que les res-   sortsà   boudin actuellement utilisés dans le même but. Il faut noter eh outre que les crochets 7 peuvent servir de poignée pour manier le   capott.Si   la tension du ressort 3 devient insuffisante, il suffit de lui appliquer quelques coups de marteau pour lui rendre sa force. 



   Dans la description ci-dessus,le dispositif de fixation est appliqué aux automobiles,il pourrait,comme . il a été   dit,ê-   tre utilisé aussi bien peur réunir rigidement deux pièces quel- conques.

   In order to secure the engine cover to the chassis of automobiles, coil spring fasteners are generally used, which at first require a relatively considerable effort for their handling, but soon no longer allow sufficient fixing, so that unpleasant noises are produced at the slightest shock.



   The device forming the subject of the present invention obviates these drawbacks, while being very simple.



  It is essentially constituted by a flat spring articulated on the one hand on a bracket mounted on the chassis. And on the other hand on a handle, the curved end of which can embrace a hook-shaped part fixed to the cover, so only under spring tension) the cover is rigidly connected to the frame. The cover is obviously held by several similar devices judiciously distributed.



   This device is applicable in all cases where it is a question of joining two parts together, and the drawing appended to this memorandum shows, by way of example, an embodiment applied to an automobile.

   On 1- frame I, in suitable places, we fix brackets 2 crossed by an axis serving as an articulation for a flat spring 3, the other end of which carries an axis 4, around which freely pivots a handle 5.On the other hand, on the hood $ 6 of the car are fixed hooks 7 in the form of a fork, the curvature of which corresponds to that which exists at the free end 8 of the handles 5.



   The carat 6 being lowered, to fix it @ to the frame I, the flat spring 3 is pivoted around the bracket 2 so as to bring the curved extract 8 of the handle 5 against a projection 9 of the hook 7. -We then continue to rotate the handle, taking this projection 9 as a fulcrum so that * 0 under the tension of the spring, the handle is fixed in the position indicated in Fig. I and 2, where it exerts a forceful pressure which applies the bonnet 6 against the usual border provided for the frame of the radiator and the apron of the car.



   Thanks to these devices, the cover is fixed, without fear of seeing it play and therefore become noisy, the flat spring 3 not being able to lose its elasticity as easily as the coil springs currently used for the same purpose. It should be noted besides that the hooks 7 can serve as a handle to handle the hood. If the tension of the spring 3 becomes insufficient, it suffices to apply a few hammer blows to it to restore its strength.
