<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
Fig. 2 une coupe verticale axiale.

Target for darts and shooting.
Targets for darts (Vogelpick) and for shooting currently on the market wear out very quickly in their central part (pink), which has a relatively small surface.
The wear of the central part leads to the rejection of the target, most of the surface of which is however still in good condition. All the soft part of the target (pressed straw, wood, cork, etc.) is thus lost, only the metallic circles delimiting the concentric rings of the target can be reused.
The present invention relates to a round target or of another shape, essentially characterized by a removable central core thus making it possible to considerably extend the life of the target by replacing the worn central part.
The invention applies to targets made of any material, and in the accompanying drawing by way of example, there is shown:
Fig. 1 a front view of the new target.

Fig. 2 an axial vertical section.
Fig. 3 and 4 have similar views for the case of a target of pressed straw or similar material.
Fig. 5 the development of the central ferrule of the target according to f ig. 3 and 4.
For targets made of non-pressed or non-elastic material, such as wood (fig. 1 and 2) the central part, for example that comprising the rose and the division (the ring) surrounding the rose is formed a stopper 1 of the same material or of pressed straw, comprising the snug delimiting the rose.
This stopper is the thickness of the target, and is housed with hard friction in a metal ferrule 3 fixed in a corresponding borehole made in the center of the target. One or more screws 4 disposed radially in the body of the target, hold the central stopper, passing through the ferrule 3, against any longitudinal movement relative to the target.
The body of the target is, in the example, in a single piece, the different divisions being delimited, as is known, by metallic circles 5, concentric, embedded in the mass of the target on one or on both sides. . The central stopper comprises the male circles 5 ', for the rose and possibly the following division, according to the number of divisions included in this stopper.
Replacing a worn plug with a new one is done simply by applying, after removing the screws 4, the new plug exactly to the worn core; by pressing strongly, the worn plug is driven from the shell 3 by the new plug which gradually takes its place. Screws 4 are then tightened.
When, as in the example of fig. 3 and 4, the target is made of a pressed or elastic material, such as oar straw, the central plug l ', similar to that in fig. 1 and 2 (and of straw, wood or other material) is housed, no longer directly in a hole in the target, but in an elastic ferrule .6.
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
(ferrule-spring); when the worn stopper is removed, this ferrule gives way under the action of the straw which surrounds it, and stretches during the introduction of the new stopper, which it helps to keep in the center of the target. In this case, the plug can also be fixed by radial screws.
The ferrule 6, shown developed in FIG. 5, on the left, is made of any metal or composition desired, and it has one or more buttonholes 7 in which one or more tabs 8 engages during the bending of the ferrule.
Ferrule 3- is welded, riveted, tongue-tied or stapled, as required.
