Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

    (Flusseisen).

  "Tubular walls for surfaces or containers intended for the exchange of heat by heating or cooling".

   In the main patent is deorit a process for the manufacture of elements for heating or cooling of containers and consisting in welding, tubes on a flat or curved metal surface, with or without using a support. of soft metal of good thermal conductivity; a weld metal addition being used in the case where flat or curved metal surfaces do not have the qualities of homogeneous iron

 <Desc / Clms Page number 2>

    (Flusseisen).

   However, it has been recognized that flat or curved metal plates, which do not have the qualities of homogeneous iron, can also be transformed into elements for the heating or cooling of receptacles and that a soft metal support , such as for example copper, can be placed between the tubes and the surface of the metal plate or wall and then welding together the free parts of the tubes, which are not nested in said support, by one of the usual methods.

  Before welding the tubes, they can be strongly pressed on the soft metal support by means of strong metal clamps, which in turn are firmly bound to the metal surface, flat or curved, using a cam device, clamps or other suitable device, advantageously the studs are joined with the tubes by welding.

  In this way it is possible to manufacture new devices, for example tanks or boilers in iron or silicon, cast iron, aluminum, silver, nickel steel, which can be heated or cooled indirectly. Due to the interposed soft metal supports, the tubes and the walls of the vessel are perfect, an excellent calorific effect is obtained. In particular, enamelled boilers fitted with heating tubes or cooling tubes in the manner described above are of great technical value. ,

  because they can not only be cooled but also heated up to temperatures of 300 ° C., which is not the case for the enamelled boilers generally used up to now. The enamelled boilers thus manufactured are quite satisfactory. to the requirements of the legal regulations concerning the steam installations, case these boilers are sufficiently reinforced by the tubes welded on the latter.

  By employing such boilers it is possible to avoid the dangers encountered with cast iron vessels.

 and enamelled, the use of which as steam receptacles could not be dispensed with in certain cases.
