 <Desc/Clms Page number 3>

    .9 qui   se visse, à l'extrémité de la poignée 5. Au-dessus des   @

 <Desc/Clms Page number 4>

   The accompanying drawings show, by way of example, various embodiments of the invnetion.

   Fig. 1 represents a comb conforming to the invention with a cavity divided by a partition,
Fig. 2 is a longitudinal section, along line A-B of FIG. 3,
Fig. 3 is a cross section, along line C-D of FIG. 2,
Fig. 4 shows in longitudinal section a second embodiment comprising a control valve extending above all of the interstices.

     Fig. 5 is a section along line E-F of fig. 4,
Fig. 6 shows, in longitudinal section, a third embodiment.

   Fig. 7 is a section along line G-H of fig. 6,
Fig. 8 is a section along line I-K of fig.6.

   The comb has the shape of an ordinary comb on the outside and consists of a ridge a, teeth b and a handle c. The crest a contains a cavity h provided with a screw cap d for filling or emptying the comb. A wall e extends horizontally through the entire cavity of the comb and has approximately in the middle of its length, an orifice f which is closed by an adjustment screw ±. In the part h1 of the cavity which is located below the wall e open the interstices i of the teeth, over the entire length of the comb, all in the same way, without any intermediate means and without any restriction or any other similar arrangement.

   The interstices thus have an edge k interrupted by the liquid chamber (FIG. 3) so that the lock of hair pulled by the teeth entrains a determined quantity of liquid and is thus wetted by the latter. All interstices pre-

 <Desc / Clms Page number 3>

 feeling the marl arrangement and the same proportions, the hair is consequently tinted very regularly.

   In the embodiment shown in FIG. 4 and
5, there is provided in a cavity 1 ending in a point and lying between the interstices and the wall e, a conical rod m exactly adjusted, which can be moved in its housing using a threaded head r, so that the liquid passage section through the slot n can be increased, decreased or completely canceled.

   As a result, the amount of liquid entrained by the wick can be regulated very exactly. The% peak of the comb is not entirely hollowed out, but only has a chamber .2 of large dimensions and a narrow channel 2 which extends over the entire length of the teeth., for filling the chambers o and. p, the conical rod m is fully screwed in, then the stopper q is removed and the liquid is poured. When the plug q has been remison can, at will, modify the position of the rod m, or even remove it completely, without fear of liquid leaks. Only the, wick results in the adhesion. liquid found in the interstices.

   The comb conforming to figs 1 to 5, can also be constructed so that the filling opening is directed towards the surface of the comb, so that OU can lay the comb on the ridge and fill it, then then replace the cap without the liquid being able to escape through the interstices, before complete closure.

   In the embodiment shown in FIG. 6 to 8, the handle 5 has the shape of a cone of roughly circular cross section. It has a cavity 7 which extends over its entire length and contains a brush for cleaning the teeth 6 of the comb. This brush 8 carries a threaded head @.

    .9 which screws into the end of handle 5. Above the @

 interstices is a channel 4 which opens into the cavity of a cap 11 which is fixed to the handle .2 by the screw thread 2. The cap 11 has a flat bottom 10 on which it can be placed during filling after removal handle 5.

  The handle 5 can then be screwed on, the cap 11 remaining in this position, so that the attachment of the cap to the fist can be done in a way without releasing it. who can escape. The instructions for use are, for the rest, the marl as in the previous cases, the wick entraining the liquid through the interstices which emerge in channel 4.
