Carburateur.

Carburetor.
The present invention relates to self-aspirating carburettors in which two different depressions produced in the suction line of the engine are used so that fuel from a tank located lower than the carburetor is sucked through the higher. weak of these depressions, while it is sprayed and brought to the suction line by the strongest of the depressions.
In these known carburettors, there must be a pipe connected to the fuel tank for each of the two depressions, that is to say, two pipes are required between the @

carburetor and fuel tank. As a result, the installation becomes more expensive and more complicated, especially when the fuel tank is located as usual at the rear of the car.
According to the present invention, this drawback is eliminated by adding to the known arrangement, in which a controlled throttle butterfly, a main diffuser and a self-adjusting butterfly valve depending on the suction existing in front of this diffuser are mounted in urie, two auxiliary diffusers fitted with fuel nozzles and connected one to the narrowest part of the main diffuser and the other to the suction line, behind the controlled butterfly valve, the two fuel nozzles being connected, if necessary with interposition of check valves, in a single pipe communicating with the fuel tank located at a lower level.
This arrangement makes it possible to combine the two pipes previously connected to the fuel tank, without adversely affecting the operation of the carburetor.
Two exemplary embodiments of the invention are shown in the drawing, in which:

The suction line to the engine is attached to the cylinder body by means of a flange b. A controlled throttle valve c, a main diffuser à and a throttle @ are fitted in the suction line one behind the other.

throttle g pivoting on the axis, which tends to close the suction line under the action of a coil spring h.
In front of the butterfly valve c, an auxiliary diffuser k is connected to the suction line and is provided at its narrowest part with a fuel nozzle n. To the narrowest part of the main diffuser d is further connected a second auxiliary diffuser m into the throttle from which a fuel nozzle e opens. The two fuel nozzles n and p are connected to a fuel pipe g which opens out at the bottom of the fuel tank r placed lower than the carburetor.
Between the pipe 1 and the fuel nozzle n is interposed a check valve s, and between this pipe 1 and the fuel nozzle p is placed a check valve t, These valves are both intended to prevent the pipe does not empty when the engine is stopped.
When the engine is running at no load or at low load, the ±. Throttle is almost completely closed. As a result, there is only a low vacuum and the throttle in the main diffuser. g also remains closed. Most of the air necessary for the operation of the engine enters through the auxiliary diffuser k and the engine receives its fuel charge through the nozzle n. The fuel is thus sucked from the reservoir r in an uninterrupted flow.
When the engine is running at full load, the throttle. is completely open. The automatic throttle valve g then opens only to a sufficient extent to maintain a determined depression in the main diffuser. The depression in diffuser k then ceases almost completely; on the other hand, the depression that reigns at '@

the narrowest part or main diffuser acts in the diffuser + The fuel is then almost entirely supplied by the nozzle after being sucked from the tank
If necessary, one can also insert in the fuel line a. a float chamber A. with a float t and a needle valve u.
