"DF. PLATINF MECHANISM: FOR HAMMERLESS RIFLE"
The present invention relates to a lock mechanism for rifle, Hammerless type "Anson" in which a single lever of special form articulated on the rocker fulfills both the role of the usual V-shaped spring and of the cocking lever.
The lever envisaged in accordance with the present invention has on one side of its pivot axis a branch acting as a spring and freely engaged by its end in a large notch formed in the front part of the hammer, while on the other side of the pivot axis, the lever has a shorter and more extended branch in which and arranged an appropriate furme recess, in which the end of a screw bridged by the rear part of the longussé moves angledly so as to cause the band, * d3 the large branch of the lever, consequently the cocking of the hammer, when the inner upper face of the recess comes

Rn referring to the figures above, I represents the. canun3 of the arma and 2 the rocker. On the ixifrérieur part of the rocker 2¯ is articulated in 4¯ the hammer. 3. pt111lI'VU in its anterior part 2 of a large notch 10 forming the nozzles 11 and in its posterior part of a heel 8 intended to receive

the outlet, the trigger 5. articulated in 2. on the rocker.
In this notch 10 moves the end 13. of the branch 14, of the lever 23 articulated at 15 on the rocker. This branch 14 acts as a spring as will be explained below. the front part 16 of this lever 23 is of greater extent and has a notch or recess 17 of suitable shape

so as to pF5 orient the internal faces 18 and µ¯9 intended to abut on the case of a screw 20 capable of moving angularly in the notch 17 due to the fact that this screw 20 is housed in the posterior part 21 of the. forearm 22.
The operation of mépanisme operates in the following manner.
The rifle showing the rod in fig. 3, when
EMI2.6
opens the rear, J & the end of the screw 20. abuts on the lower inner face 19 of the notch 17 of the front part
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
16 of the lever 23 and oonséquemment the end 13 of its branch 14 presses on the beak II of the hammer which is thrown back, so that the beak 7 of the trigger-.5. come and engage on the heel 8 of the hammer 3 and consequently immobilize it, see fig.l.
If the weapon is now closed, the lever 23 remains free for a moment, that is to say that its anterior and posterior exomites are not subjected to any action, but as the closing takes place the end of the screw 20 abuts on the rear interior face 18 of the notch 17 @ of the lever 2, while its end 13 begins to press on the lower beak 12 of the front part .2. of hammer 3, which results when the closing of the weapon is complete to cause the bandage of the part 14 of the lever 23 and thus to put the rifle in a state of firing see figo2.
If in this position dela fig.2 we act on the trigger 5. through the trigger, the hammer 3. under the pressure of the spring 14, pivots on its axis 4 and tilts towards the support and takes the position shown at the, fig. 3.
The friend can then be opened again and the mechanism is as shown in fig.I.
It should be noted that the screw 20 can be engaged more or less in the recess 17 and therefore that one can modify as desired by the adjustment of the screw 20 when it abuts the face 18. and consequently the bandage of the branch 14 of the lever 23 forming a spring, and the throwing back of the hammer 3. since the same end of the screw 20 abuts earlier on the face 19 of the lower end of the anterior part 16 of lever 23.
In addition, a much greater hammer stroke is obtained which can reach up to 15 m / m and a much stronger percussion always ensuring the firing of the cartridge.
The simplicity of the turntable mechanism, the. robustness
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
its components and its ease of manufacture give the object of the invention a great value which is imposed as much by its original design as by the safety of its operation.
It goes without saying that the plate mechanism envisaged can be applied to any species of rifle with one or more couns and that it can include other constructive modalities than that represented, this one appearing only for explanatory and not limiting. .
Rn summary the present invention is aimed at any mechanism of a tilting barrel rifle lock with one or more coLps characterized in the following: CLAIMS
I) Rifle lock mechanism characterized in that on the lower part of the rocker is articulated a lever whose. (, Large branch forms a spring and causes by its end and intermittently the hammer,
owing to the fact that the latter has in its front part a large notch whose opposite ends form the bearing faces of the end of the envisaged spring branch and whose small shorter and more extended branch has a notch or recess must the facing internal faces act as a stop at the end of the adjustable screw carried by the posterior part of the longshot.
