<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>

Twisting tube for twisting machines
The present invention relates to a twisting tube for twisting machines.
The novelty is that the twisting opening provided on the twist tube is arranged at the lower end of the tube, so that when using such a tube for a wet twisting process , the twisting opening is immediately above the yarn wetting liquid.
This advantage is thus obtained that the twisting operation is carried out immediately above the level of the liquid with approximately the same liquid content in the twisting yarns and that liquid projection is avoided during the passage of the yarn. through the twist tube '
The drawing shows the invention in different embodiments.
Fig. 1 shows the twist tube in vertical section.
Figs 2 and 3 show realizations of details

while Figs. 4 and 5 show another embodiment in vertical section and in bottom view.
As seen in fig. 1, we denote by a the twisting tube which is rotated in a known manner by means of a pulley b. The opening c receiving the yarn is arranged according to the present invention at the lower end of the twist tube, and the lower end is located directly above the liquid wetting the twist. In the exemplary embodiment shown in FIG. 1, two twist openings c, c1 are provided at the lower end of the tube to produce great tension in the yarn.
As seen in fig. 2, the twisting openings c, c1 can be arranged on an interchangeable part or a head piece d of the twist tube a so that head pieces with a, two or more twisting openings, or also head pieces in which, as shown in fig. 3, the twist openings are at a greater distance from each other so that the tension of the thread to be spun can be adjusted and adjusted as it passes through the twist opening.
The interchangeable part carrying the twist opening or the head part can also be made as a plate which can be attached to the twist tube in any way.
As shown in Figs. 4 and 5, the twist opening provided at the lower end of the twist tube connects to a smooth surface against which the yarn is pressed by adjustable springs. @
The twist tube here consists of a body e which is established with a smooth surface! on the one hand. In the head
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
lower i of the body e there are provided two twisting openings k, kl through which the material g of the yarn is passed and then led upwards, to the smooth surface f. The material to be twisted is pressed against the smooth surface f by adjustable springs h and hl. These springs and hl are held on the body e by means of the fixing rings m while the body e is actuated by means of the pulley 1.
Due to the fact that the body e has the smooth surface f, the threading of the material to be twisted is facilitated since the material to be twisted must be introduced only below or behind the adjustable springs h and hl. ci using the threading needle.
