<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
'Un relais assurant la mise en marche du moteur et son &rrt à fin de course en évitant des ouvertures et fermetures intempestives dites de pompage.
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>

Electric servo motor control.
The present invention relates to a device for remote electrical control by direct or alternating current servomotor comprising two distinct parts:
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
A relay ensuring the starting of the motor and its & rrt at the end of the stroke, avoiding untimely openings and closings known as pumping.
2 .- A special clutch making it possible to engage the engine on the controlled device without fear of misfiring and to disengage it as soon as the maneuver is finished.
Control relay.
Figures 1-2-3-4 represent one of the practical embodiments of this relay and one of the operating schemes.
Figure 1 shows the relay at rest.
FIG. 2 shows the relay after a current has been emitted in coil B by closing of, before any movement of the controlled device.
FIG. 3 shows the relay in the position which it occupies after the operation of the controlled device but with the contacts d e, still closed.
FIG. 4 represents one of the functional diagrams. We see that the coil B, excited by the closing of d e, attracts, by the hook 1 fixed to its core, the lever 2, one of the arms of which closes the contact f g of the motor circuit.
At the end of the stroke of the core, a stop 3 releases the hook 1 so as to make the contact holder lever 2 free. However, this lever is kept in its "Closed" position (figure 2) by any device, for example by a spring acting by going beyond neutral.
The engine starts up. Once its work is finished, an adjustable stop 5 integral with the moving system passes in front of the extension 6 of the lever 2 and causes this lever to tilt (FIG. 3).
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
This tilting interrupts the servo drive motor circuit.
Pumping is avoided because, if contact d e is kept closed, the relay core remains lifted, which makes it impossible to close contact f g for the second time.
Locking clutch.
One of the particular embodiments of the locking clutch according to the invention will be described below, in order to show more explicitly the mode of driving, locking and unhooking of the controlled device.
FIG. 5 represents a sectional side view.
Figures 6-7 and 8 show three sectional views along x-x at different stages of operation.
The servomotor 21, started by the switch f, g of Figures 1-2-3 and 4 drives the tooth wheel through a suitable speed reducer 22. 23 rotating around the hub 24 eccentric with respect to the shaft of the device 25. The centers of rotation are 0 for the controlled device and 0 'for the toothed disc (figure 6).
On this sector 23 is mounted a lever 26 with two arms. One arm carries a drive roller 27, the other a release ramp 28.
The roller 27 may come into contact with the cam 29 integral directly or not with the controlled device.
The ramp 28 can come against the stop 30.
The operation is as follows; -
At rest, the respective positions of the parts are those of figure 6.
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
The started motor drives in the direction of arrow F, the disc 23 and the roller holder 26 which rolls on the cam 29.
After a certain distance, the roller meets the beak of this cam and consequently tends to drive it. The en -semble of this mobile part is arranged so that this meeting takes place at an obtuse angle.
This immediately results in a jamming of the lever 26 against the cam, the more jamming the higher the torque to be developed. There is therefore no risk of stalling or misfiring.
Figure 7 shows the apparatus at this time.
As 29 turns, due to the non-coincidence of the axes 0,0 ', the angle Ó gradually decreases to 90 (figure 8). In this position the controlled device reaches the end of travel or almost. The ramp 28 was against the stop 30, a very slight advance of the assembly causes the lever 26 to oscillate around its axis, the roller 27 rolls on the beak of the cam and abandons the latter.
The controlled device can therefore stop instantaneously while the servomotor continues to rotate until it stops, which can be specified or not by means of any brake. This device can be applied in particular to the control of circuit breakers. In this case, the cam 29 is integral with an appropriate hooking system to the controlled circuit breaker.
This electrical control can also be made automatic by adding a transmission relay.
