Guarantee boaohon for bottles or other containers.
-------------
The invention relates to a guarantee cap for bottles or other containers, which, while allowing the contents of a sealed bottle or the like to be poured freely, visibly denounces any attempted fraudulent intro-auction. liquid in the receptacle fitted with the said guarantee cap,
The plug according to the invention achieves this goal without the aid of any arrangement of mechanical valves, which in all embodiments of this kind are inserted into the discharge path, acting in a natural way, according to the law of liquids thanks to which in vases communicating with each other, the liquids tend to reach the same height, and precisely in the stopper in question, an attempt to introduce liquids into the bottle,
through the twists and turns of the stopper would inevitably produce, and above all, the insinuation of the liquid into the viewing chamber, because the opening of the viewing chamber is placed lower than the neck of the bottle, a bell captive serving for the adjustable opening of the stopper,
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
blending communication between the neck of the bottle and the outside, while covering the entrance to the chamber. a manhole which chamber is so narrow and sinuous that it prevents liquid from being introduced into the bottle by means of flexible tubes or the like and from being able to fraudulently block the entrance to the manhole,
this opening being formed by a small horizontal window, the edges of which are protruding and placed in a chamber communicating with the outside, only by a narrow crack, this chamber being preserved from the invasion of the liquid when the bottle is tilted , for in verse the content ,. The introduction into the chamber of any liquid alum is revealed by the color taken by a kind of sealing bar in contact with a coloring material in the interior of the chamber of a sight, when liquid (water, alcohol, etc.) comes from this room.
In the accompanying drawings is shown, by way of example, a particularly advantageous embodiment of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 shows a cross sectional elevation of the cap; it closed position.
Fig.2 shows a similar section through part of the cap seen in the open position.
Fig. 3 shows the main parts of the plug detached but placed axially in the order of assembly.
Fig.4 and Fig.5 show respectively how to apply and seal the cap on the bottle.
Fig. 6 is a plan view of the main tubular part.
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
With reference to said figures: 1 denotes a tubular body handled by a flange 2 in the form of a bell. On the pipe 1 is threaded a small sleeve 3 provided with a shaped brick 4 and a slot 6 with edges projecting outward and in communication with a longitudinal groove 7 which opens into the inner periphery of a step 8. The pipe 1 has inside, near its upper mouth, a narrow bridge 9, in the opening in which a tapped hole 10 is drilled.
In this hole 10 is screwed a threaded rod 11 integral at the top with a small cap 12. with internal cork lining 12 '. conforming to the shape of the bell 2 of part 1. The socket 3 is also provided with a small hole 14, placed higher than the slot 6 which hole communicates with the step 8 by means of a similar narrow longitudinal groove to 7.
If this socket 3 is completely threaded onto the pipe 1, the lower edge of the bell 2 almost touches the upper plane of the flange 4 and includes with the periphery of part 1 an annular chamber 15. A small pipe, in colorless transparent glass 16 is threaded on the pipe 1 and pressed on the step 8 by means of a cork washer 17. A small shaped sleeve 18 is provided on the outside with an upper annular groove 19, with cork gasket 20, serving as seat lower than the small glass pipe 16 and inside two steps 42, 43.
A small threaded pipe 21 provided with a flange 22 can be screwed externally onto the threaded lower end of the pipe 1 :, so that all the tubular or annular parts 1,3,17,16, 20 18, can be locked coaxially against each other under pressure, To avoid relative rotations of parts 3 and 18, with respect to pipe 1, the latter is provided on the outside with a longitudinal rib. - dinal 40 which can be inserted in cor-

respondents not shown trained on each part 3 and 18.
In order to prevent the threaded rod 11 from being completely unscrewed from the outside, beyond a certain quantity, an eoroa 24 is provided which can be screwed onto a thinner end rod 25 with a thread. direction opposite to that of the rod 11. The sleeve 18 comprises an inclined step on which can be pressed a similar step 28 of a sleeve 27 of thin sheet metal threaded on 18. The small pipe 21 comprises, threaded below its flange, a cork washer 30 fitted into the annular cavity 29 limited by the lower internal cylindrical surfaces of 18 and external 21, and above it, it pushes against a gasket 41, constituting a jam for the pipe 1.
For mounting the stopper made up of the said parts on the neck of the bottle, it suffices to thread the upper edge 31 thereof (fig. 4) into the annular groove 29 and into the sleeve 27 and then, by means of of a suitable maohine the lower part of said sleeve 27 is stamped around the collar or successive collars 32 and 33 of the bottle (fig.5) so that the stopper remains sealed thereon. During this operation, the sleeve 27 may be provided with imprints representing the name of the house manufacturing the liquor or the like, contained in the bottle.
To pour the contents of the bottle, the cap 13 is unscrewed by taking it by its upper edge provided with roughness 34 (fig.4) then the bottle is tilted in the ordinary way; the liquid then exits unimpeded from the pipe 1, passing through the windows 35 and 39 around the small bridge 9 and then passing through the annular pipe 36, emerges at the point 36 'which forms the edge and which is placed at each dumping operation lower than the fixed part of the filling

let. To close the bottle, it suffices to completely screw on the stem 11 of the cap 13. In practice, the sinuous pipe 36 may be so narrow that no flexible tube can be introduced through it to. reach the neck of the bottle.
By trying to introduce the liquid under hydrastatic pressure, it would first penetrate through the chamber 15 and then through the slot and through the groove 7, into the annular chamber formed between the glass sleeve 16 and the pipe 1; in this annular chamber 15 being provided a kind of sealing bar 38 in contact with the solid color of red aniline for example. If a single drop of liquid enters the chamber 37, the sealing bar takes the red color and in this way denounces the attempted fraud. The stopper can be used several times by the liqueur factory, cutting and changing only the socket 27,
All said parts may be machined from aluminum by stamping, and some of them may be made from porcelain.
Moreover, the present invention has been described and illustrated purely as an indication and in no way limiting, and it goes without saying that many modifications can be made to its details without departing from its spirit.
