<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>

Differential movement for spinning loom,
The present invention relates to differential movements for spinning looms,
It is known that in the so-called "Self-acting-winding machines", the detour of the spindles, for the de-pointing period, is generally obtained by disengaging the main shaft which controls the torsion and by removing it. coupling to a friction slowly rotating in the opposite direction, which forces the main shaft to first gradually lose speed and then to rotate in the opposite direction for the depointing period.
Differential movement devices have already been recommended which receive continuous control from the main shaft and transmit two rotational speeds for the torsion and the offset of the spindles to a central shaft controlling the drums of the spindles.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
These devices are, however, relatively complicated and easy to adjust, given that some of their components are subjected to the action of brakes or other locking systems to give the spindle drum shaft the two speeds that it must have. to allow torsion and tilting.
The present invention overcomes these drawbacks and aims to provide a differential movement for the spinning machine which avoids stopping and turning the drive shaft and which can be operated without having to use brakes or the like. blocking systems of some of its organs.
For this purpose, the differential movement, object of the invention, of the kind in which a member or flywheel mounted freely on the shaft of the spindle drum receives a continuous command from the main shaft, is characterized in that this gold - gane cooperates either with a conical friction to drive the shaft at the speed of rotation of this member corresponding to the period of torsion, or by means of a clutch with a housing containing satellites which derailed on a fixed circular teeth and communicate to a pinion fixed to the drum shaft, a reduced speed and in the opposite direction corresponding to the depointing period.
The ratio of the pinions is such that the central pinion fixed on the shaft of the drums turns slowly in the opposite direction with respect to the planet carrier housing driven by a rapid rotational movement communicated to it by the flywheel or control member, through the clutch.
The attached drawing shows an embodiment of a differential movement constructed according to the invention.
Figure 1 is a schematic section through a vertical plane passing through the central shaft.
Figure 2 is a schematic side view,
In these figures, 1 designates the shaft of the
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
spindles which must be driven by two rotational speeds, one of which is in the forward direction according to arrow f 1 and corresponding to the torsion period and the other in reverse direction according to arrow f 3 and corresponding to the depointing period (see fig. . 2).
This shaft is controlled in the direct direction f 1 by a throttle wheel 3 via a conical friction 3 and a stomach 4 fixed on the shaft 1.
The flywheel 2 has a sleeve 5 along the shaft 1 at the end of which is wedged a disc 6 furnished with ferrodo 7. The disc 6 rotates between a plate 8 and the surface 9 of a housing 10. The plate 8 can move along the sleeve 5 under the pressure of springs 11 bearing on the inside of the casing 10. A lever 12 allows the plate 8 to be held in a position separated from the disc 6.
The housing 10 carries satellites 13 and 14 fixed on the same axis 15; the satellites 13 mesh with a circular toothing 16 fixed to the frame 17 integral with the spinning machine. The planet wheels 14 meshing with a pinion 18 fixed on the shaft 1.
The differential movement thus constructed operates in the following manner.
The flywheel receives control continuously from the main shaft of the spinning machine by means of a cotton cable for example.
The rotational movement of the flywheel 2 is communicated to the shaft of the spindle drums in the direct direction along arrow f 1 by the conical friction 3 and the stomach 4. This rotation in the direct direction f 1 corresponds to the torsion period .
During this period, the housing 10 is independent of the flywheel 2, the clutch disc 6 rotates freely between the face 9 of the housing 10 and the plate 8.
The casing 10 is driven by a rotational movement, following the arrow f 2 (fig. 2) around the circular toothing 16
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
by the satellites 13 and 14 which mesh with the pinion 18 fixed on the shaft 1 which is, at this moment, driven by a rotation along f 1.
This rotation of the housing 10 has no function, it depends only on the rotation of the differential pinions; it could possibly be eliminated by mounting the pinion 18 in freewheel mode on the shaft 1. to obtain the bend of the shaft I Following the arrow f 3 for the depointing period, the known friction 3 is disengaged and simultaneously the lever 12 is released, which allows the spring 11 to press the plate 8 against the ferrodos 7 of the disc 6 and the surface 9. The purpose of this clutch is to drive the housing 10 with the flywheel 2.
In its rotation, the housing 10 drives the planet wheels 13 and 14 around the circular toothing 16 which serves as a fulcrum, which causes the pinion 18 fixed to the shaft 1 to rotate.
By way of example, assuming that the circular toothing 16 has 41 teeth., The planet wheels 13 have 27 teeth, the planet wheels 14, 28 teeth, the pinion 18, 40 teeth. for one revolution of casing 10 in the direction of arrow f1, pinion 18 will do:
EMI4.1
The pinion 18 and, consequently, the shaft 1 will rotate in the opposite direction according to the arrow f 3 and at reduced speed.
The advantage of this device over the previous ones is to put simpler and more easily adjustable mechanisms within the reach of the workers and to realize the detour of the spindles by means of a clutch running dry at. the inside of the crankcase, which thus protects it from dust and oil projections,
