<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>

Descriptive memorandum filed in support of a request for bravât invention a bicycle with a front wheel smaller than that of the rear and whose handlebars pass under the thighs of the cyclist "bicycle known as" Veloaino " ..
The present invention relates to a bicycle which has a smaller front wheel than the rear one. In principle, the invention consists in providing a bicycle of this type with a reversible handlebar which, in the reversible position, lies partially under the rider's body *
Another feature of the invention is the fact that the shaft of the pedal is arranged at the point of the junction of an inner fork with a front tube, so that the perpendicular line drawn through the center of the The crankshaft passes through the small srrant wheel.
Another feature of the invention is that the upper part of the upper limb of the frame is provided with a

groove through which the rear wheel projects. This arrangement allows the saddle to be lowered very close to the rear wheel.
The accompanying drawings show a construction which incorporates the features of the invention.
Drawing # 1 is an elevation showing the handlebars in their full position and the saddle in their lowest position. In this condition, the bicycle is suitable for use by a small person.
Drawing 2 is a top view and drawing 3 shows the same bicycle in elevation, but suitable for use by a tall person with the handlebars in the reverse position and the saddle raised to the highest position. high.
The frame of the bicycle comprises a lower fork for the small front wheel, an upper fork 2 for the rear wheel, an elongated tube 3 to receive the steering rod, an upper member 4.4 ', putting the tube 3 in communication with fork 2, and a lower limb, putting the lower ends of 2 and 3 in communication. 5 is the large rear wheel and 7 is the small front wheel. As can be seen in drawing 2, the upper frame member 4.4'a, at the upper end below the saddle, a groove through which the rear wheel projects (upwards). The pedal shaft is placed at the point of the junction of the fourahel with the tube 3 so that a perpendicular line through the center of the pedal a @ ber passes through the small front wheel 7.
The handlebars are at the end of the upper tube of the tube 3 and comprise a member 8 and two arms 9 which actually form a semicircle and support the limbs at their end. It can be seen that the construction of the handlebars 8,9 is such that when turned through an angle of 180, from the position shown in solid lines: to the position shown in dotted lines, drawing 1, or to the position shown. in whole lines, drawing 3, the sleeves will remain firmly in the same place, while the part
8 of the handlebars will be between and under the rider's thighs.
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
It may well be noted that the handlebars are supported by a @ member 8 alone which joins it directly to the front device to be governed in the tube 3. If a small person is to use the bicycle, a saddle 10-shown at des. sin for purpose I is used, which allows the saddle to be lowered very close to the wheel. For the use of an adult one uses a saddle pin 10 shown in drawing 3 and it is preferred to use the handlebars in the reverse position.
The advantages of the invention are its adaptability to the use of people of different heights and the possibility of using the handlebars in two different positions, the normal position shown in drawing I being especially suitable for the placement of luggage or other packages in -in the handlebars and the reverse pasition ensures comfort at the same time as a hygienic position of the oiolyst and also ensures easy defense in case of aggression,
It is understood that changing the position of the guidai can be advantageous when doing long excersions as it also allows the rider to change the position of his arms up to a certain point, The whole bicycle is very rigid,
since the steering level is in fact in line with the front fouroh. You can easily stop the bicycle in. putting one foot on the ground, the risk of being splashed is very reduced.
