L'eau chaude arrivant par le tuyau ascendant 10, et qui a avantageusement une température de 80 C, se distribue dans la boite de la soupape et s'éooule, d'une part, directement vers le raccord 11 pour le préparateur d'eau ohaude , dans lequel elle arrive à une température pratiquement inohangée,et, d'autre part, par l'ouverture 16 vers le raccord pour les ra- diateurs,; il se produit ainsi un mélange avec l'eau de retour froide venant de oes derniers, qui entre par le raccord 12 et passe par l'ouverture 17. En/réglant le corps de soupape 15 par rapport aux ouvertures 16 et 17 on peut régler à volonté ce mélange et partant la température de l'eau envoyée aux radiateurs ;
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>

"Valve device for central heating systems"
The present invention relates to a valve device for central heating installations consisting of a heating boiler, a hot water calorifier and radiators, in which, to adjust the temperature of the hot water conducted to the radiators, the water leaving of the boiler is mixed with the water returning from the radiators.
The main object of the invention is to simplify and reduce the cost of assembling installations of the species in question. The invention essentially consists in that one and the same valve box is provided at the same time with two inlet ports, one for the heating boiler and one for an auxiliary connection pipe connected to the return pipe starting from the pipes. radiators, as well as two exhaust ports, one for the hot water calorifier and one for the radiators, the connection for the boiler and the connection for the hot water calorifier being in direct and free communication with each other. the other in the

valve box, while the raooord for radiators which is in communication by an opening in the valve box with the fitting,
for the auxiliary connection pipe, is in adjustable communication with said raooord for the boiler by an opening of the valve box controlled by a valve body.
Advantageously, said valve body can also control the opening between the connector for the auxiliary connection pipe and the connector for the radiators.
The accompanying drawing shows an exemplary embodiment of a device according to the invention. Fig. 1 shows an assembly diagram of a central heating installation comprising a valve device according to the invention. Fig. 2 shows, on a larger scale, a m rtiaale section through the valve. Fig. 3 is a rear view and FIG. 4 a top view of the valve. Fig. 5 is a section taken along the line A-A of FIG. 4.
In fig. 1, 1 designates the valve placed centrally above the boiler. The hot water calorifier is designated by 3 and the radiators by 4. The valve is in communication with the hot water calorifier by a tubular pipe 5 and with the radiators by a tubular pipe 6. From the designated return pipe by 8, which starts from the radiators, branches off an auxiliary connecting pipe 7, which is also in communication with the valve. The return line from the hot water calorifier is designated 9 and the pipe leading from the boiler to the valve is designated 10.
In fig. 2, 11 designates the connection for line 5 leading to the hot water calorifier. 12, the connection for the ascending line 6 arriving at the radiators, 13, the connection for the auxiliary connection line 7 starting from the return line 8 and 14, the connection for the rising pipe of the boiler 2.
The latter saooord 14 and connector 11 for
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
the hot water calorifier communicate directly, and freely one with the other in the valve box, while an opening 16 made in the valve box and connects the ports 14 and 12, as well as A second opening 17 formed in the valve box and connecting the fittings 13 and 12, can be adjusted by a valve body 15 mounted on a rod screwed into the valve box.
The hot water arriving by the ascending pipe 10, and which advantageously has a temperature of 80 C, is distributed in the valve box and flows, on the one hand, directly to the connection 11 for the water calorifier ohaude, in which it reaches a practically unchanged temperature, and, on the other hand, through the opening 16 to the connection for the radiators; This results in mixing with the cold return water coming from the latter, which enters through the connection 12 and passes through the opening 17. By adjusting the valve body 15 in relation to the openings 16 and 17 it is possible to adjust at will this mixture and hence the temperature of the water sent to the radiators;
by closing the opening 16, for example in summer, it is possible to completely interrupt communication with the radiators and only serve the hot water calorifier.
The valve can advantageously be given normal dimensions corresponding to the dimensions of the pipes encountered in practice and thus make it better marohé; the concentration of the pipes to the boiler, to the hot water calorifier, to the radiators and to the Auxiliary connection pipe for return water, in the valve which is placed centrally above and from the ascent pipe of the boiler and is of a faoile aooès, extremely simplifies the work of assembly and greatly reduces its cost. .
The connection 13 for the auxiliary reooordement line is made in a separate room, which by means of screw connections 18, fig. 3 and 4, can be fixed to the valve box in different positions, so that said raooord can,
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
as needed, be directed upwards, downwards or towards one of the sides.
When, when the communication with the radiators is interrupted, the valve is completely closed at 16, there is the danger that the hot water calorifier could jump if it does not have an expansion pipe. To avoid this drawback, a pressure compensation oanal, 20, 21 fitted with a safety valve, is provided in the valve box between the connection 11 for the hot water calorifier and the connection 12 for the radiators. de-aeration 22.
The valve body consists of a ball, which is held in position by a plug 19 screwed into the valve box, and which for a pressure corresponding to a column of water of about 200 mm, can be lifted in a recess made in the bouohon.
