<EMI ID=7.1>

The invention relates to a double spinning spindle
twist in which the yarn coming from the twist spindle
is led through a yarn magazine ring and then passes into the yarn balloon. The wire magazine ring which is mounted on the rotating part of the spindle has the function of compensating for the varying frictional forces of the wire which occur on the unwinding spool or under the effect of other influences, in order to thus maintain balance with the centrifugal force of the wire balloon. The size of the balloon of yarn is naturally a function, in the first place, of the mass of yarn which
is subjected to the centrifugal action, therefore of the length of the wire, <EMI ID = 2.1>
thread sin, to the eyelet of the thread guide. As we know, the thread does not go, now, directly from the point where the flow takes place to the thread guide eyelet, because this is not possible due to the resistance of the air. that happens. The thread is forced back by the resistance of the air so that a spiral forms from the bottom up to the eyelet of the thread guide, resulting in the formation of a certain length of thread and hence of a corresponding mass of wire. The flatter this spiral the greater the length of the wire from the point of flow to the wire guide eyelet, hence the greater the mass of wire, which in turn results in the formation of 'a larger balloon in correspondence.
When the ball is larger, there also occurs correspondingly greater tension in the yarn, which can give rise to excess tension which generally does not achieve the desirable elongation of the yarn. In addition, there is also a corresponding increase in air resistance, which can cause, particularly for sensitive yarns, such as, for example, those of wool or artificial silk, easily damage to the yarn, so that a defective twisted yarn is then formed. It should of course also be taken into account that when the yarn balloon is large enough, a correspondingly larger spindle pitch must be available, which reduces the economy of a machine of this kind.
Therefore, we always strive to make the ball of yarn, therefore the mass of yarn or its length, which is subjected to the action of centrifugal force, as small as possible, in order to avoid the inconveniences that come from be mentioned.
The Applicant has made this surprising observation that it is possible to act on the size of the balloon of yarn or on the length of the yarn which is subjected to the action of centrifugal force by giving an ad hoc shape to the storage ring. wire. To this end, according to the invention, the magazine ring is designed
of wire so that the inner edge which is used for
the flow of the yarn exceeds the diameter of the latter and is formed so that the flow of the yarn for passage through the balloon occurs approximately in the plane of the exit of the yarn or of the yarn magazine. In this operation, of course, small deviations from the discharge point towards
up or down, without compromising the expected favorable outcome.
With such a design of the yarn magazine-ring, it is possible to give the yarn which passes to the ball a support such that it travels by a more direct path from the point of debit to the eyelet of the yarn guide, that is to say that is to say that we give the spiral forming the balloon of wire an inclination / marked accordingly,
which significantly reduces the length of the wire. This, in turn,
As a consequence, the yarn balloon is made smaller because the yarn mass is reduced as well, thereby reducing the tension on the yarn accordingly. The reduction in the mass of the yarn and hence the reduction in the yarn balloon occurs naturally provided that the thickness of the yarn remains there. same and for the same distance between the flow point
thread and the thread guide eyelet.
The advantages of this arrangement are firstly that, owing to the decrease in the tension of the thread, the required elongation of the thread can be obtained and that the thread is also subjected to less stresses owing to the fact that
the ball is smaller and the air resistance thus produced is lower, which prevents damage to the yarn. In addition, it is of course also still advantageous to be able, because the diameter of the yarn balloon is reduced, to give the spindle a correspondingly narrow smaller pitch, which has the consequence of increasing the profitability of such a. machine. At the same time, the quality of the twisted yarn thus produced is notably improved.
The drawing illustrates by its Figure 1, the design, customary until now, of the yarn store-ring and of the balloon which is formed in this case, while Figure 2 illustrates the embodiment according to the invention. Figure 3 shows the

wire guide and the wire guide eyelet for the various wire store ring designs.
In the drawing, the reference numeral 1 denotes the yarn magazine ring which performs a rotational movement with the latter and the numeral 2 the fixed yarn guide head. The yarn 3 which comes out of the yarn magazine ring, passes, according to figure 1, over the inner edge 4 of the yarn magazine ring 1 which is adapted to the shape of the ball. However, the balloon lacks a suitable support so that a flat spiral is formed from the point of flow to the eyelet of the thread guide.

yarn according to FIG. 3. Thus, with the current design, a large mass of yarn is launched into the balloon, which correspondingly increases the dimensions of the latter and which also increases the tension of the yarn and in addition the resistance of the air.

rale with more pronounced inclination between the point of flow and the eye of the yarn guide, which, naturally, has the consequence of forming a shorter yarn length as a result. This yarn length is also illustrated in figure 3. The mass of yarn thus produced naturally also forms a balloon of yarn of lesser size, which consequently reduces the tension of the yarn and also the air resistance.
