" Composition hydrofuge ".
La présente invention a pour objet une composition hydro- fuge susceptible d'être utilisée dans une multitude de. destina- tions techniques.
Le mélange hydrofuge, selon l'invention, est constitué de colophane ou d'une résine naturelle ou artificielle équivalente, de caséine, d'une quantité de saponifiants, tels que de la les- sive de soude d'une faible teneur en fluorure de sodium et d'eau en quantités variables.
Le procédé de préparation consiste à mélanger par exemple 10 kgr. de colophane, 5 kgr. de caséine, 1 litre de lessive de soude à 36 Baumé et 150 gr. de fluorure de sodium, mélange qui forme une pâte que l'on allonge ensuite avec de l'eau jusqu'à obtenir 150 litres d'un hydrofuge. Il est entendu que les pro- portions de ces ingrédients peuvent varier selon les destina-

tions particulières du produit. Le mélange est soumis à une cuisson qui peut être prolongée Jusque, obtenir un produit de consistance voulue.
L'hydrofuge, se+on l'invention, présente des qualités particulièrement favorables et peut servir notamment à rendre les mortiers de ciment et de chaux imperméables pour enduire les murs et les protéger contre l'humidité tant à l'intérieur qu'à l'extérieur. On peut imperméabiliser les fondations avec ce produit et empêcher l'eau de s'infiltrer dans les caves. Le béton armé peut également être protégé avec'ce produit contre l'infiltration d'eau, ce qui évite le sointage du béton armé.
Le produit peut servir à rendre les couleurs de peinture hydro- fuges ou imperméables. Le produit augmente la solidité et la résistance mécanique de ces peintures. Les garnisseurs et pein- tres peuvent s'en servir pour enduire les murs et procéder en- suite à l'application de tapisserie ou de peinture ; le papier ni la peinture ne peuvent souffrir de l'humidité du mur. La composition même du produit moyennant des proportions détermi- nées permet de s'en servir comme savon industriel. A l'état de forte concentration approchant l'état solide, le produit peut servir à des usages industriels, notamment comme anti-dérapant.
L'hydrofuge de l'invention est une composition salubre, non corrosive, imputrescible et qui ne contient aucune matière cristallisable.
REVENDICATIONS.
1.) -Composition hydrofuge, caractérisée par le fait qu'el- le est constituée de colophane ou résine naturelle ou artifi- cielle semblable, de caséine ou de matière protéique équivalen- te d'un saponifiant, tel que la lessive de soude, et d'une fai- ble teneur en fluorure de sodium et d'une quantité variable d'eau.
