" Passoire "
EMI1.1

"Colander"
EMI1.1
============: z The present invention relates to a perfeated strainer constructed on the principle of the pestle mortar. This colander is essentially characterized in that the frustoconical body of the container has a part adjacent to the sieve, the inner wall of which constitutes a concave spherical cap cooperating with the pestle to exert pressure directed towards the sieve on the materials to be treated in the colander. The body of the pestle will preferably consist of an oonic body, the apex of which corresponds to the center of the disc-shaped sieve and the base of which follows the curvature of the spherical cap.
In an alternative embodiment of a colander of this type, the sieve will be shaped in the shape of a trough and the pestle constituted by oscillating scrapers, the active edges of which can be brought closer or apart from the wall of the sieve in the form of a trough, This trough may have the elongated rectangular shape or consist of a spherical or otherwise curved cap, the scrapers always having the appropriate corresponding conformation.
The invention will moreover be described below with reference to the appended drawing, of which Figures 1 and 3 show in section two suitable embodiments.
In Figure 1, the frustoconical body 1 of the strainer has on the lower side a part in the form of a spherical cap 3 ', the lower wall of which is concave, this part ending in a circle 3 intended to receive the sieve 4 which is 'Introduced necessarily through the lower opening of the colander and which can be fixed by any technical means. The perforated disc 4 forming the bottom of the colander supports in the central opening 7 the conical pestle 5, the axis of which is formed by a handling handle. The base circle 8 of the pestle 5 extends close to the curvature of the part!, So that it is possible to impart to said pestle oscillating and rotary movements around the center 'of fixing 7.
We immediately realize that the pestle can perform Tans part 2 of the colander a helical crushing movement on the products retained between the sieve 4 'and the curved part 2. The handle 6 can possibly be equipped with a squeegee. protruding to loosen material that might collect on the body wall 1.
Referring to Figure 2, the frustoconical body 11 of the colander is equipped with a perforated trough 12 whose upper edges have cross members 13 provided with a buttonhole 17 in which the axis 14 of the forming element can move.

pestle. This pestle comprises an operating handle 16 and two scrapers 15 capable of sweeping the space formed by the trough 12. As a result of the wandering movement of the axis 14 of the button 17, the end edges of these scrapers-T5 can be approached alternately to the wall of the trough in the upper region thereof, so that an alternating movement of the handle 16 always ensures a perfect scraping effect along the inner wall of the trough. 'trough.
Colanders constructed according to the indications described above offer the advantage of rational simplicity for complete working efficiency. These utensils will thus be constituted by a minimum of parts, the maintenance of which is extremely easy.
CLAIMS.
1.) Strainer constructed on the principle of pestle mortar, characterized by the fact that the active edge of the forming body / pestle cooperates with the interior wall of the suitably formed strainer to produce a scraping effect between this edge and Wall.
