L'invention concerne un appareil pour la lecture ou reproduction d'enregistrements sonores portés par des bandes sans fin, formant un rouleau, et qui sont montées pour tourner dans un coffret ou caissette fermée de toutes parts, montée de fa- çon amovible dans l'appareil, et elle a pour but la création d'un appareil aussi peu encombrant que possible, mais surtout plat, ayant à peu près la forme d'un pick-up pour disques (tourne-disques).
Selon l'invention, on prévoit dans ce but que le rouleau, cylindre etc., qui soutient la bande sonore à l'endroit de la lecture, soit parallèle à l'axe de rotation de la bobine de pellicule, et que la caissette présente à l'intérieur un dispositif de renvoi ou changement de direction de la bande sonore. Il est avantageux dans ce cas de réaliser le rouleau, cylindre, etc. qui supporte la bande sonore à l'endroit de lecture sous forme d'un tambour transporteur monté pour tourner et de le monter parallèlement à l'arbre du moteur d'entraînement.

Cette manière d'arranger les parties de l'appareil es- sentielles pour l'entraînement mécanique de la bande de film, permet de placer le compartiment destiné à recevoir la caissette contenant l'enregistrement sonore à côté du moteur d'entraînement et du tambour d'entraînement de la bande, d'où résulte une forme extrêmement plate de l'appareil de lecture sonore, de telle sorte que celui-ci peut par exemple servir de support au haut-parleur à employer avec l'appareil de lecture sonore.
Dans ce cas, une des parois latérales de la caissette peut être pourvue d'une fente commune pour l'entrée et la sortie de la bande ou de deux fentes ou entailles séparées, tandis que le dispositif de renvoi de la bande se trouve à l'intérieur de la caissette sur la paroi latérale opposée.
Sur le dessin se trouve représenté un exemple de rali- sation d'un appareil de lecture sonore suivant l'invention.
La fig.l de ce dessin montre l'appareil, couvercle enlevé, en perspective.
La fig. 2 montre la caissette placée de façon amovible dans l'appareil, également en perspective.
L'appareil de lecture sonore comporte une boite ayant utilement la forme d'une caissette ou coffret, 1, dont on n'a représenté, sur la fig.l, que le fond, les deux parois latérales et la paroi arrière. Le moteur d'entraînement 3 est monté dans un compartiment séparé 2 dans la boite 1. Ce moteur entraîne par l'intermédiaire d'une poulie à courroie, 4, calée sur son arbre et logée dans le fond de la boîte 1, d'uc courroie trapézoïdale 5 et d'une poulie à courroie, 6, égaleront logée-,dans le fond de la, boite, le tambour 7, qui supporte la bande 'sonore au point ou poste de lecture de ses sillons sonores et qui opère en même temps l'entraînement de la bande.
La bande sonore se trouve dans une caissette 8 fermée de toutes parts, que l'on peut introduire dans l'appareil ou retirer de celui-ci par une ouverture se trouvant par exemple dans la paroi latérale de la. boite 1. La bande sonore est une bande sans fin et se trouve sous la forme d'un rouleau ou bobine 9 sur un plateau porte-film 10 monté pour tourner dans la caissette et muni, de la manière connue, dans sa partie centrale, d'une saillie conique 11 destinée à centrer la bobine. La bande sonore; portât à sa surface des sillons sonores, lisibles mécaniquement, s'étendant parallèlement ou presque parallèlementà ses bords et se raccordant les uns aux autres, quitte le rouleau 9 par l'intérieur et s'enroule à nouveau sur lui à l'extérieur.

La: paroi antérieure (sur le dessin) de la caissette pré- sente deux ouvertures 12 et 13. La bande sonore sort de la caissette par 12 et y rentre par 13. La paroi postérieure (sur le dessin) de la caissette est munie sur sa face intérieure d'un rouleau de renvoi 14 qui est monté, de préférence de façon à pouvoir tourner, sur la paroi postérieure de la caissette sui- vant une direction oblique vers le haut et légèrement inclinée latéralement. Le rouleau de renvoi 14 rend possible un guidage de la bande sonore provenant de la face intérieure de la bobine 9 tel que l'entrée et la sortie de la bande puissent se faire par la même face de la caissette.
Lorsqu'on place la caissette avec le rouleau de bande sonore 9 qui s'y trouve dans l'appareil de lecture sonore, il suffit, puisque l'axe du tambour d'entraînement 7 est parallèle à l'axe de rotation du rouleau de bande sonore, de placer sur le tambour d'entraînement la boucle de filin qui sort latérale- ment de la caissette, pour que la bande sonore soit prête à l'emploi dans l'appareil de lecture sonore. Un cylindre 15 monté parallèlement au tambour d'entraînement 7 maintient la bande contre ce dernier.
Le bras de prise de son 16 de l'appa- reil de lecture sonore est monté à cardan dans le compartiment même, 2, dans lequel le moteur d'entraînement se trouve aussi @ logé; il sert de ce compartiment par une fente 17, forme un coude à son extrémité et porte la boîte de prise de son 18, qui, à l'aide de l'aiguille 19 qui y est insérée, suit les sillons sonores de la bande sonore.
L'appareil de lecture est pourvu de la manière habituel- le d'un dispositif de mise dans les sillons (non représenté), commandé par un bouton 20 et à l'aide duquel on peut soulever la transyensalement boite sonore 38 au-dessus de la bande sonore, la déplacer/sur e côté des sillons sonores ou la redescendre sur la bande sonore.
