 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 3>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 4>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 5>

  Conveyor device with endless transport system. For mining.

    @
The object of the present invention is to provide a transport device for underground work in mines, which device on the one hand has for rational use of the motive force a rotating transport system and which, of on the other hand, can, during operation, be constantly moved transversely to the transport direction as a whole at the same time or continuously (with the center line curved into an s-shape), without the. device having to be each. once disassembled, and reassembled., such as for example a shaking channel or a rubber conveyor belt, when changing 'of position. It is true that devices for,

  transport by means of which this function is fulfilled, these devices being in the form of roller conveyors. but these carriers have drawbacks which are avoided by the new device. '* ...' ''
In scraper conveyors, in fact, in which drive crossbars are arranged between two. side conveyor chains or on a middle chain, the material to be transported is pushed by the drive ties or the rails on the bottom of the channel, which pro-

 <Desc / Clms Page number 2>

 evokes a sliding friction between the bottom and the material transported (most often coal).

   In addition, the traction chains of the roller conveyor can, when passing through lowered parts, owing to their high longitudinal tension, be lifted out of the flow of material transported, together with the drive cross members, which causes disturbances in transport. If lifting is prevented by guides, considerable frictional wear results.

   The drawbacks of the known conveyors are avoided in the transport device according to the present invention by the fact that the endless transport system consists of plates overlapping in the handling, which are arranged on a traction member. flexible of all pats (for example a chain with double articulation,. a cable) extending along its longitudinal axis. The material transported here is entrained, placed on the plates and does not itself slip.

   The sliding friction takes place between the plates carrying the transported material and the frame on which the plates slide, and as a result, compared to scraper conveyors, we produce in which the transported material itself. even glides directly on the bottom of the channel, a decrease in friction and consequently in the control force required, since the sliding friction between the steel plates of the new conveyor and its steel frame is notably less than the friction between the material transported (eg coal) and the bottom of the channel in the roller conveyor.

   The friction between the transport plates and their support (guide frame) can be further reduced by rolling rollers arranged on the plates on both sides and circulating on the guide frame, to transform the sliding friction of the plates on the frame in rolling friction.

   For guiding the plates or the traction chain and for locating the wear, according to another feature of the invention, both sides of the

 <Desc / Clms Page number 3>

 traction, sliding tracks and special wear slats which may optionally be interchangeable.

   A simplification is obtained by the fact that the plates themselves are elements of the traction member or are rigidly connected, for example by riveting to elements of the articulated chain,
To facilitate the passage of the plates over the joints of the frame, in particular at the locations of the S-shaped curvatures, sliding parts in the form of pads have been placed on the plates; Possibly replaceable wear parts have also been placed on the upwardly bent edges of the plates, by means of which the plates slide on a guide in the strand circulating empty.

   The drawings show an exemplary embodiment of the invention in fig.1 in cross section, in fig.2 in top view, in fig. 3 in a side view of the discharge site, in FIGS. 4 to 7 in detail; fig.8 shows a variant of the guide. Figs. 9 and 10 show the use of a transport device according to the invention in the operation in sizes (fig. 9) and in the operation in chambers or pillars (fig.10).

   The endless transport system comprises the plates 1 which overlap each other, in the transport strand and in the empty strand, like tiles and on which articulated chains. 2 are mounted as a traction member. The articulated chains are connected together by 'horizontal and vertical' 3 and 4 pivot bolts.

  In the embodiment according to fig.3, the vertical articulation bolts 4 serve, at the same time .à: The. fixing, possibly rotary, of the plates 1 to the articulated chain.

   In the embodiment according to Figs. 6 and 7, the plates 1 themselves form elements of the traction member and are connected together for this purpose at the overlapping locations by universal joints ( of Cardan ') 5 in fig. 6, or 6 in fig. 7. In the case of 5 articulation pieces at the
Cardan shaft, the horizontal and vertical articulation axes lie in a single vertical plane placed transverse to the longitudinal direction of transport. In the case

 <Desc / Clms Page number 4>

 of the articulation part 8 according to fi.7, the vertical articulation bolt is disposed at the end of the plate situated in front and the horizontal articulation bolt at the beginning of the following plate or vice versa.

  In the last exemplary embodiment, the horizontal articulation bolt can be arranged, with the bearing eyelet receiving it, in a press-forced part of the plate. This reduces on the one hand the construction height of the articulated chain and, on the other hand, advantageous transverse ribs for driving the transported material are formed on the support side of the plates.

   Both. sides of the traction member 7 (fig. 1), sliding slats 9 have been fixed on the folded parts 8 of the plates 1, which slide on corresponding sliding tracks 10, for example angles and are thus guided laterally. The sliding slats 9 and the sliding tracks 10 can both be interchangeable or separately. The sliding slats 9 on the plates 1 advantageously have the form of runners according to FIG.

  4 to facilitate passage over the joints of the carrier frame.

   The lateral guidance of the endless transport system can also, according to fig. 8, be produced by
 EMI4.1
 rods, for example in brackets, 12, fixed to the frame 11 directly on both sides of the articulated chain 7. In this case, the plates 1 can, on both sides, also be provided with rollers 15. On the outer folded parts of the plates, there are possibly parts
 EMI4.2
 wear inùercheisea7oles 14.

   In the application example shown schematically in FIG. 9, the frame 11 of the transport device is constantly pushed by the horizontal pressure cylinders 15 or by a push piece arranged in the space 16, driven by the felling device and guided along the row of pillars 17 (e.g. according to German patents

 <Desc / Clms Page number 5>

   599,097 and 613.398) with a weakly S-shaped, curved axial line. In the application example according to fig. 10, after the dewatering of the chamber 18, the pillar 19 left in place first (charcoal support) is subsequently felled back and discharged by the conveyor.

   To this end, the transport device est'Introduced laterally on the wall in the space 19 à'douille, and as needed it is shortened (as shown in broken lines).
