Description

 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 3>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 4>

  Device ensuring the lubrication of piston compressors, in particular for refrigeration installations.

   The invention relates to a device for lubricating reciprocating compressors, in particular for refrigeration installations, the device in which the separation of the lubricant and the pumped fluid is carried out in a separator in communication with the lubricating members of the compressor. , this communication being established automatically while the compressor is in operation and automatically interrupted as soon as the compressor stops.

 <Desc / Clms Page number 2>

   In known devices of this type, the device controlling the communication between the lubricant separator and the parts to be lubricated of the copressor as a function of the number of revolutions of the compressor, generally consists of a gear pump or a rotary piston pump. But experience has shown that a pump of this kind does not provide a sufficiently tight seal during compressor stops.

   As a result, during compressor shutdowns, lubricant can pass from the separator, through the gear or rotary piston pump, to the interior of the compressor in an amount sufficient for the starting of this compressor to produce shock. hydraulic can cause deterioration. To avoid these drawbacks in the arrangement according to the invention, the device interposed in the communication duct between the lubricant separator and the parts to be lubricated is constituted by a shutter controlled by centrifugal force.

  This shutter can be operatively connected to the drive shaft of the compressor, for example by means of a direct coupling device.

   An embodiment of the object of the invention is shown in the accompanying drawing by way of example, in which:
Fig. 1 is an axial sectional view of a rotary piston compressor and members placed on either side of the piston and serving as bearings for the drive shaft and for lubricating the elements.

   Fig. 2 is a view in another position of the movable elements of the shutter with centrifugal control.

   In the figures of the drawing, 1 designates the housing, 2 the piston, 3 the drive shaft and 11 the base of a rotary piston compressor, the suction and discharge ducts of which have not been shown. to clarify more.

 <Desc / Clms Page number 3>

  21 is a separation vane dividing the crescent-shaped working chamber of the compressor into a suction compartment and a discharge compartment. 41, 42 and 51, 5 designate parts which must be greased. The lubricant from a separator, not shown, subjected to the discharge pressure of the compressor, arrives through a pipe 6 and passes through channels 7,8 and the opening of a part 9 supported on both sides on springs 10, 11, in the channels 12 of a valve 13 forming the second stop of the spring 10. This valve 13 controls the communication between a chamber 14, connected to the channels 12 of the valve 13, and another chamber 15.

   On the valve 13 also acts a rod 16 which is itself subjected to the action of two articulated weights 17, rotating at the same speed as the shaft 3 of the rotary piston compressor. 18 designates a valve box.

  The elements 13,16,17 and 18 therefore together form a shutter controlled by centrifugal force.

   As long as the rotary piston compressor is operating, the weights 17 and the rod 16 act to move the valve 13 away from its seat inside the box 18, against the action of the springs 10,11, c ' that is to say that the valve 13 is kept in its open position (fig. 2), so that the lubricant is delivered from the chamber 14 into the chamber 15 and, then, through the channels 19 to the parts a grease 4, 42.

  Since the part to be lubricated 51 is subjected to the vacuum prevailing in the suction chamber of the compressor, the lubricant discharged from the part 41 by the left side arrives through the channel 20 at this part to be lubricated 51. The lubricant exiting from the part to be lubricated 4 from the right side arrives in the chamber 21 in which the centrifugal weights 17 are mounted, and in which also arrives the leakage lubricant leaving the chamber 15 along the rod 16. This chamber 21 is connected @

 <Desc / Clms Page number 4>

 through a channel 22 to the part to be lubricated 5 which is itself subjected to the vacuum prevailing in the suction chamber of the compressor, so that the lubricant accumulated in the chamber 21 is sucked through the channel 22 towards the part to be lubricated 52.

   This arrangement therefore ensures during operation of the rotary piston compressor the necessary lubrication of all the moving parts.

   When the compressor stops, the weights 17, the rod 16 and the valve 13 take the position shown in FIG. 1 and in which the valve 13 is applied in a sealed manner against the seat provided inside the box 18, so that no lubricant can pass from the chamber 14 to the chamber 15. This prevents accumulations. dangerous lubricant inside the rotary piston compressor 1,2 stopped.
