Monsieur Jean CHOSSON
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

Mr Jean CHOSSON
The present invention relates to a shoehorn with rational use allowing in particular the engagement of the foot in the shoe, without having to bend down, which makes it very convenient for obese or mutilated people, who have difficulty stooping.
The imagined shoehorn is in fact placed in the shoe, which is then placed on the ground fitted with the device to allow the engagement of the foot, after which the device is easily removed:
The appended drawing shows, by way of non-limiting indicative example, a practical embodiment of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a sectional side view of the device
Fig. 2 is a rear view.
Fig. 3 is a view. in plan.
, FIG. 4 is a developed view of the device.
The shoehorn consists of a metal frame
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
1 curved in the shape of the heel, surmounted by a rounded edge 2 folded down on the outside and extended in the center by a vertical tongue 4 directed downwards and slightly curved on the outside at its end 5.
The frame 1 thus formed is obtained by bending the cut metal plate shown developed FIG. 4.
On the tongue 4 is fixed by welding or in any other way a release ring 3.
To use the device, the frame 1 is chained against the internal face of the heel of the shoe, taking care to place the tongue 4 on the outside. The insertion of the shoehorn limits / by the edge 2 keeps the device in position:
It is then sufficient to place the. shoe which is provided with the device and to engage without difficulty and without kissing the foot in the shoe.
The ring 3 then makes it possible to remove the shoehorn with a finger after use.
This device, which is simple to manufacture, is very practical to use and is extremely solid.
The apparatus can be made of any suitable metal or material.
It can be changed in its details in any appropriate way.
