SYSTEME DE'COMMANDE DE VOYANT DE SIGNALISATION POUR
APPAREIL ELECTRIQUE
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

<Desc/Clms Page number 4>

SIGNALING LIGHT CONTROL SYSTEM FOR
ELECTRICAL APPLIANCE
The present invention relates to indicator lights for all electrical devices, and in particular for electrothermal devices, such as stoves, stoves, etc., comprising any number of switches or switches, indicator lights serving to detect the temperature. ignition of at least one of the circuits of the apparatus.
The practical interest of signaling is to prevent, as a result of negligence, one of the circuits remains in operation unnecessarily; to achieve this goal, the use of a single indicator is sufficient.
Up to now, all the systems proposed for the use of an indicator light have been entirely electrically operated.
Thus, the switches can be provided with auxiliary contacts connected in parallel, which requires special and expensive switches. If the current passing through the supply conductors is used
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
device, you can: - operate a neon bulb excited by a special transformer, but the light intensity of such a bulb is too weak to quickly attract the user's attention, @ feirn operate a relay signaling triggered for the lowest intensity of the device and capable of supporting the total power. The construction of these relays is delicate and expensive.
- Supply a low voltage bulb by a transformer with a saturated magnetic circuit from the minimum current and also capable of supporting the total power; these transformers are of delicate construction, expensive and sensitive to significant temperature rises.
- Connect the indicator directly to the starting contacts of the switches with appropriate paralleling of the contacts, which does not meet the U.S.E presoription. of the bipolar cut-off of each switch.
The present invention overcomes these various drawbacks.
Its object is a system for controlling a single indicator light for electrical appliances comprising several circuits each controlled by a switch in an "off" position and at least in an "on" position, in particular for electrothermal appliances, characterized by the use of a mechanical transmission which keeps the indicator light on the "stop" signal only if all the switches are in the "stop" position.
The invention will be better understood by means of the following description with reference to the appended drawing showing, by way of example, two non-limiting embodiments.

tatife of the system according to the invention.
FIG. 1 is a schematic perspective view of a control cam system with a signal lamp. figure 2 shows the different possible positions of a cam of the system according to figure 1.
FIG. 3 is a partial view of a system similar to that of FIG. 1, but with a movable signaling shutter, the éluctriquo apparatus being assumed to be unpowered. Figure 4 is the same figure in the case where at least one circuit of the apparatus is supplied.
Figures 5 and 6 show the two positions occupied by the shutter and correspond respectively to Figures 3 and 4.
As represented by FIG. 1, the electrical apparatus whose operation is to be monitored comprises four rotary switches 11 with parallel axes.
12; each switch is assumed to have three running stages and one off position. On each of the axes 12 and in the same plane perpendicular to these axes is mounted a cam 13, the profile of which is shown in Figure 3.
Below and in a plane slightly to the rear and parallel to the cams is arranged a rotary axis 14 with movement limited by a return spring, not shown, and carrying a part 15 in the form of a pallet on which the various cams act. .
The axis 14 is that of the signaling control member which, here, is a switch 16 acting on a lamp 17 mounted on the mains; the pin 14 closes the switch when the pallet 15 is in the down position and opens it in the up position.
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
In FIG. 2, the four possible positions of each cam 13 and those corresponding to the paddle 15 have been shown. At gaucho, the cam is in the stop position of the switch and the paddle is closed; for all the other positions (on) of the switch, the pallet is lowered.
Switch 16 should itself be provided with the return spring intended to sweep the pallet into the high position when all the switches are in the off position.
It is immediately seen that as long as at least one switch is in any on position, switch 16 is closed and lamp 17 is on; this is only off when all the switches are in the off position.
Multiple variants can be provided to the system which has just been described; axis 14 can act - indirectly on switch 16, the type of which can be of any type, mercury bulb for example. When the axes 12 of the switches are not all parallel, this system is also applicable; thus, in the case of four switches with two by two parallel axes, one switch will be controlled by each group of two parallel axes and the two switches will be mounted in parallel on the signaling circuit. The lamp will only be switched off if both switches are open.
Moreover, the profile of the cam can itself be modified giving the same results.
Figures 3 to 6 show a simplification of the system according to figure 1, in the case of the use of a

mobile signaling shutter 18 moving in front of an opening 20; this white shutter, for example on its lower window, is provided with a red zone at 19 and it is driven by the axis 14 carrying the pallet 15, The system and the signaling form a mechanical unit,
