TROUSERS BELT, ESPECIALLY FOR ZONE TROUSERS.
The tapered pants that skiers wear today give them an elegant appearance. But the tension imposed on the legs by the tapered pants becomes awkward!} Especially if the wearer has to remain seated long enough in a railroad, automobile, restaurant, etc ... In this case, the seated wearer has to lengthen their legs , if he wants to avoid the rather rapid formation of bumps on his knees, under the action of the strong tension.
It is for this reason that many people wearing tapered pants loosen or open their belt to loosen the tightness of their pants around their hips and be able to bend their legs better. But this reduces or even eliminates the retention of the pants on the hips.
The object of the present invention is to remedy these drawbacks, by virtue of a belt ensuring a suitable hold of the pants on the hips, an outfit which can be varied rapidly and which makes it possible to wear the pants stretched or not while keeping them on. the hips with absolute certainty. The invention also pursues the more general object of ensuring the elastic and pleasant support of all other pants on the hips and of allowing the elimination of suspenders in general. For long pants, in particular 'the new belt should allow them to be worn high on the hips.
The invention essentially consists in dividing the belt from one end of its length to the other into two independent bands. the closure members of the lower band being slightly set back from those of the upper band, so that the closed lower band makes it possible to wear the pants higher on the hips and that the pants can on the contrary be worn lower on the hips with the lower band open and the upper band closed.
A belt of this type can be made by (putting on the upper edge of the trousers an elastic band (of rubber, for example), the closing ends of which are slightly recessed in the lower half. favorable on the hips by arranging so that the upper band exerts a lower tension than that of the lower band.

To prevent the shirt from rising and coming out of the pants under the action of body movements, there is preferably provided on the lower band, and from one end of the latter to the other., One or more bars. (rubber for example) taken in the material and protruding.
The accompanying drawing shows one embodiment of the object of the invention.
Fig 1 is a front view of the open top part of a tapered pant.
Fig. 2 shows it as it is stretched over the person wearing it.
Fig. 3 shows him loose, that is to say relaxed.
Fig 4 represents an elastic waistband ready to be sewn to the upper edge of the pants.
Fig. 5 is a cross-sectional view of an elastic belt divided into two bands by a bead.
The tapered pants 1, which can also be another usual pants, has a rubber belt 2 sewn to the inside face of its upper edge. This belt is divided from end to end into two elastic bands / and 5. The upper bmde 1 exerts a lower tension than that of the lower band 5. For the division of the belt, one can for example provide a bead 3. extending down the middle over the entire length.
The lower elastic band µ also has narrow bars 6 taken or shaped in the material over the entire length, projecting inwards, and intended to retain the shirt. These bars 6 prevent the shirt from going up and out of the pants under the action of body movements. In 2 are indicated the loops and in 8 the hooks of flat closing clips, fixed to the ends of the two elastic bands 4 and 5 of the belt. These closure elements' 1 and .6 allow the two elastic bands to be opened and closed separately.
To increase the tension exerted by the lower elastic band, the latter is a little shorter than the upper band 4, but it is also possible to move back its closing elements relative to those of the upper band.
If it is desired to wear the trousers taut, as shown in fig. 2 at least the lower elastic band 1 of the belt 2 is closed. The trousers 1 are held high on the hips, especially as the lower elastic band exerts a stronger traction. In this case, the upper elastic band 4 can be opened or closed. But it can also be folded inwards around the bead 3.
If you want to reduce the tension of the pants, you open the closing elements of the lower elastic band 5, as indicated on. fig. 3, and the upper band is closed if it is not already closed, after having previously lowered the pants to the hips. The pants being kept lower, but with absolute certainty, they are looser ,, It is then easy to bend the legs without 'risk of knee bumps'. The recoil of the closure elements 1, 8, the lower band 5 or the shortening of the latter with respect to the upper band, makes it possible, in order to obtain stretched or loose pants, to make a belt even in two independent bands.
The waistband of the trousers according to the invention can be made to be ready for fitting, and to be delivered in this state to tailors. Elastic trouser belts are preferably made to be about 2-3 cm longer than the normal waist circumference, undressed and ready to fit. When making the pants, the tailor must remember that the waist circumference of the pants must be increased by 2 to 3 cm. compared to the normal tour. The making of the elastic waistband in the undressed state has this advantage over the waist circumference of the. pants return to normal size after stitching the waistband and

ironing.
Optionally, ventilation holes can be made in the elastic belt.
