<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
prement dits.

IMPROVEMENTS PROVIDED TO; TRADE SPINNING FACILITIES PROVIDED WITH STRETCHING TRAINS, ESPECIALLY IN CELIES FOR RAPID COTTON SPINNING.
The invention relates to loom spinning installations provided with a series of drawing trains extending over the entire length of the loom and ensuring, in a single operation, the thinning of a product. intermediate (ribbon or roving) of the netting fiber, said thus stretched ribbon then passing directly to the pins of the loom which subject it to the final twist ensuring its transformation into fl; and it concerns more particularly;) because it is in their case that its application seems to be of the greatest interest, but not exclusively among these installations, those for the rapid cotton spinning.
Its aims above all are to make the aforementioned installations such that they respond better than to date to the various desiderata of practice, and, in particular, that they allow the installation to be carried out more rationally. of a spinning mill.
It consists, mainly = - and at the same time in equipping, preferably, the installations of the type in question with spinning looms of the double type, that is to say comprising two rows of spindles located on either side. d9a longitudinal median plane -, to be placed in a raised position, on a service platform above the loom itself, the containers (tubs or jars) containing the intermediate product (tape or wick}. intended for food of the drawing trains carried by the aforesaid professiono '
Apart from this main provision, it consists of certain other provisions which are preferably used at the same time but which could, where appropriate, be applied independently,
and which will be discussed more explicitly below, in particular in a second provision consisting of installations of the type in question, to
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
to orient vertically and to dispose substantially in line with the corresponding row of pins, the series of drawing trains intended for feeding the aforesaid row of pins.
It relates more particularly to a certain mode of application (that for which it is applied to looms with drawing trains for the rapid spinning of cotton); as well as certain embodiments of the aforesaid provisions; and it targets more particularly, and this as new industrial products, the trades of the type in question comprising the application of these same provisions, the special elements specific to their establishment, as well as the spinning installations equipped with similar trades.
And it can, in any case, be well understood with the aid of the additional description which follows, as well as the appended drawing, which supplement and drawing are, of course, given above all by way of indication. ,
Figo leet 2, of this drawing, represent, diagrammatically, respectively in end view and in horizontal section according to II-II fig. 1, a loom spinning installation provided with drawing trains, said installation being produced in accordance with the invention.
Fig. 3, finally, is a diagram similar to that of figo 1 and showing a variant of establishment of such an installationo
According to the invention, and more especially according to that of its modes of application, as well as according to those of the embodiments of its various parts, to which it appears that preference should be given, proposing, for example, to establish a spinning installation for the rapid spinning of cotton using a loom fitted with drawing trains allowing the thinning in a single operation of the wicks (or ribbons) contained in trays 1 and intended for supplying the spindles of the trade, the procedure is as follows or in a similar manner.
As regards first of all the spinning machine proper, it is set up, as a whole, in any suitable usual manner, the driving of the spindles 2 of said machine being able to be carried out, for example, by helical wheels and tangent screws, or again, as will be assumed below, by pulleys and belts
Preferably, moreover, this loom is arranged to be of the double type, that is to say that it has two rows of pins arranged symmetrically on either side of a longitudinal median plane in which it is then locates the axis of a drum motor 3 acting as a drive member common to the two southern rows of spindles.
This being the case, on the upper part of the frame 4 of this spinning machine, two series of drawing trains 5 are mounted, for example inclined, reigning over the entire length of the machine and each consisting of a plurality of pairs of cylinders. between which circulates the wick 6 coming from the tank 1 assigned to the supply of the corresponding spindle, said wick ending in said spindle, in the usual way, after having undergone a twist by passing through a guide member 7 (pigtail) and in cursor 8 of a ring 9 belonging to a bank of rings of interest to the entire row of pins considered.
And, in accordance with the main arrangement of the invention, the wick trays 1 are placed in an elevated position above the double loom established as has just been said, the aforesaid trays resting, for example, on a suspended platform or gangway 10. on which can then stand the personnel responsible for monitoring the bins.
Thanks to this arrangement, it is unnecessary to reserve, at the level of the spinning ground, special locations for receiving the wick trays 1, the ground in question being able to be occupied, with the maximum density compatible with the conditions of exploitation, by the pro spinning looms
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
previously said.
It seems opportune here, in order to clearly demonstrate the interest of this provision, to recall that, until now, drawing trains had only been applied to simple looms (row of spindles united - that) behind which were placed, on the floor of the spinning mill, the wick trays which then occupied a large area, the free arrangement of which would have made it possible, for an equal spinning area, to use double looms in the same number or yet to substantially double the number of simple trades.
In other words, the fact of installing the wick trays on the ground, next to the loom they supplied, had the drawback of reducing the density of spinning spindles (ratio of the number of spindles to the surface area of the spinning). spinning), a drawback which is precisely remedied by the main arrangement of the invention which makes it possible, thanks to the heightening of the wick trays 1, to achieve a more rational layout (organization and relative arrangement of the various elements) of the whole of spinning.
Ultimately, this advantage translates into an increase in farm output (increased production at equal costs).
Although it is still possible, in view of what has just been said, to envisage various solutions with regard to the positioning of the wick trays 1 on the platform 10, it seems more particularly advantageous, in order to reduce the overall size, to have said trays as shown in fig. 2, contiguously and staggered, on either side of the longitudinal plane of symmetry of the loom, the bit from each tank being channeled towards the corresponding drawing train by a guide tube 11.
If, as has been assumed previously9, the drawbars 5 serving each row of spindles are inclined and converge towards the plane of symmetry just mentioned, the guide tubes
Preferably 11 will be. aligned substantially in the above symmetry plane.
But it is also possible, according to another arrangement of the invention which will now be considered more particularly and which could possibly be used in isolation, to arrange the stretching benches 5, as shown in FIG. 3, vertically and plumb with the row. matching pins
This solution has more to allow a substantially rectilinear and vertical routing of the wick 6 from the tray 1 in which it is contained to the pigtail preceding the spindle which twists the aforesaid wick. The risks of breakage and tensile strengths (inherent in changes in direction imposed on the bit) will thus be eliminated.
In any case and whatever the embodiment adopted, there is finally a spinning installation, the advantages of which (from the point of view of the installation conditions) result sufficiently clearly from the description which has just been given to that it is useless to enter, on this subject, in any additional explanation.
As is evident and as it follows moreover from the foregoing, the invention is by no means limited to that of its modes of application, nor to those of the embodiments of its various parts, having been more specifically indicated, it embraces, on the contrary, all the variants.
