   Dans certaines types d'essoreuses centrifuges ménagers ou de machines à laver combinées avec essoreuse centrifuge il peut être très uti- le d'accoupler l'axe du panier essoreur et l'axe moteur par un système à car- dan et par un entraînement progressif. 



   Ce cas se présente notamment quand l'axe moteur est fixé de façon rigide et que le couple de démarrage du moteur est insuffisant ou exi- ge un courant trop fort pour le coupe circuit généralement employé. 



   L'invention prévoit pour ce cas sur l'axe moteur un disque mu- ni d'un revêtement à coefficient de friction suffisant sur lequel vient ap- puyer un autre disque guidé en son centre par l'axe et qui est relié à l'axe du panier par un système à cardan quelconque. De cette façon le moteur, d'une part peut se lancer directement à sa vitesse normale et entraîner progressi- vement le panier et cela proportionnellement à son poids puisque celui-ci détermine la friction entre les disques ; d'autre part, l'axe du panier peut s'incliner librement sur la verticale suivant les   exigeancesde   la rotation gyroscopique d'un objet déséquilibré comme c'est généralement le cas pour un panier chargé de linge.
