<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

TWO-STROKE EXPLOSION ENGINE POWERED BY A GASOLINE AIR MIXTURE USING SUCTION-COMPRESSING FANS.
The two-stroke internal combustion engines are generally supplied with the aid of a carburetor by a mixture of air, gasoline and oil? the presence of the latter constituting a loss of yield.
To overcome this drawback, the two-stroke internal combustion engine which is the subject of the present invention has been devised. In this type of engine, the fuel is supplied using a mixture of air and pure gasoline, the term gasoline to be taken in the sense of any type of fuel.
In this way, the engine is lubricated separately.
The invention is illustrated, by way of example, in the accompanying drawings in which:
FIG. 1 is a side view of the engine; Figure 2 is a partly sectioned plan view of the same engine and Figure 3 is a vertical cross section.
As can be seen from the drawings, the two-stroke explosion engine, object of the present invention, is provided on either side of the cylinder C with openings 1, 2 into which respectively open. ment of pipes 3 and 4 which connect fans 5,6 to the cylinder which suck in the air from the outside and are driven by the engine itself using pairs of toothed wheels 7, 8 and 9,10 respectively, the some mounted on the shaft 11 of the motor, the others on a secondary shaft 12, parallel to the shaft II. These gears are used to increase the speed of the fans; they for-

However, if the fans are placed coaxially with the shaft 11.
One could also provide that only one fan arranged in any way is connected to the cylinder by branching piping. In the pipes 3, 4 are provided nozzles 13 and 14 for the injection of fuel which can be taken directly from the carburetor 15 or 16 (fig. 2) or even injected at the desired time using a pump. injection (not shown in the drawing). The arrangement of the fans makes it possible to obtain a mixture of air and pure fuel and to completely fill the explosion chamber with a corresponding increase in efficiency which is estimated to be of the order of 15 to 20%. compared to that of ordinary two-stroke engines, there is also a saving of 25% on fuel. The possibility of performing the injection at selected times allows cleaning with the aid of air alone.
The exhaust pipe 17 can be split (see the dashed line).
CLAIMS.
1. Two-stroke internal combustion engine, characterized by the presence on either side of the cylinder, of a ventilator actuated by the engine, connected to the cylinder by a pipe and sucking air from the outside, while that the injection of pure gasoline (fuel) is carried out using a nozzle provided in the connecting pipe.
