Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

   <Desc / Clms Page number 1>

The present invention relates to folding boxes used for the packaging of soft, semi-liquid and even liquid products and in particular for the packaging of soft soap.

In the boxes currently used, the cardboard intended for
 EMI1.1
box is coated with a material c-hô! ÉriU.6 -dn: r.Jnièrerm ':: 1J (hJ; v.o'irresister.au the product contained and in particular the soft soap.

So that the soft, semi-liquid or liquid product to be packaged cannot infiltrate into the edge of the carton of the inner flap, the edge of the flap is coated with the same product as that forming the coating on the carton.

Despite this, the product seeps between the tab and the box itself.

It follows that after a longer or shorter period of time in relation to the content of alkali, acid or other compound, the product pierces the cardboard in the corner of the box where the tab is located.

The object of the present invention is to remedy this drawback and consists essentially in that for the gluing, two juxtaposed tabs coated with the plastic material are provided and in that the tab located on the outside in the blank is folded outwards and is glued on the other gluing tab after which the assembly and gluing continue as usual.

In the embodiment of the invention, during assembly, the small rectangular face located towards the outside in the blank is glued by its edge on the additional tab on the outside of the latter.

The drawings are intended to show how the invention can be carried out in practice.

Figure 1 shows the box flat with its two gluing tabs.

Figure 2 shows the box after folding down and gluing of the additional tab and folding of the double tab.

Figure 3 shows the box after assembly.

Figure 4 is an explanatory view.

As shown in Figure 1, the box cutout comprises as previously two rectangular elements 1 and 2 intended to form the large faces and two rectangular elements 3 and 4 intended to form the small faces.

According to the invention, two juxtaposed tabs 5 and 6 are provided for bonding, both of which, like elements 1 to 4, are coated with plastic.

As indicated at 61 in FIG. 1, the outer tab 6 is folded towards the outside and is glued to the tab 5 then the assembly and gluing are carried out as before, the face 4 being finally glued to the tab 6.

Figure 3 shows the completed box fully glued. From Figure 4 it is clear that the soft, semi-liquid or liquid product is nowhere in contact with a place where there is no coated cardboard.

In this FIG. 4, the adhesive plasters have been shown at 7 and 8.
