caractéristiques suivantes : <EMI ID=1.1> de ses fleurs;
<EMI ID=2.1>
<EMI ID=3.1>
<EMI ID=4.1>

"Variety of hybrid tea rose with double flowers,
coral on the obverse, yellow and orange-pink on the reverse "
The present invention relates to a variety of
rose, of the hybrid tea class with double flowers
orange-pink, which differs from already known varieties,
in this class and this kind of colors, by the
following characteristics: <EMI ID = 1.1> of its flowers;
- particular aptitude of the plant for forcing, in particular for quality winter production. Due to the characteristics listed above, the present invention meets the needs of the Horticultural Industry for all uses, and more particularly for the production of cut flowers.
The aim sought by the Applicants was to create a variety which would derive the aforementioned advantages from a genetic combination involving two progenitors whose respective prior study enabled them to expect, in their common progeny, the appearance of the desired characters.
The rose chosen as female progenitor was the product of the fertilization of the variety MEIbrem-172F, more generally known commercially under the brand
JOLIE MADAME, by the MEIsha-130F variety, more generally known commercially under the brand GRISBI; that chosen as male progenitor was the product of the fertilization of the MEMAJ-542 variety, more generally known in the trade under the name of THAÏS, by the VERLA variety, more generally known in the trade under the brand name
Pr. VERdAGE.
The artificial fertilization operation, performed
by the Applicants, is therefore expressed by the following schematic formula:
<EMI ID = 2.1>
Fruits formed, as a result of this directed fertilization, were extracted from the seeds, the cells of which were the result of the combination of factors existing in the cells of the progenitors and by virtue of which these parents had been precisely chosen.
Having proceeded to sowing said seeds, the Applicants obtained 660 seedlings which are distinct from each other, physically and biologically.
After eliminating all the deficient or abnormal subjects, or whose characters differed markedly from those being the object of their research, the Applicants proceeded to graft the remaining subjects, so as to continue their work only on roses in any point in conformity with those produced and marketed by professional nurserymen.
They undertook, therefore, the selective study of plants: .industrial thus formed; study in which he [pound]
<EMI ID = 3.1>
grafted, with the exception of one variety which came closest to the intended purpose.
This variety had very well-formed flowers, of a very original rich light coral color, and also exhibited a great aptitude for forcing.
Technical tests (hot grafting, cold grafting, dormant eye grafting, pushing eye grafting, in a hot greenhouse, in a cold greenhouse, on different rootstocks) were then undertaken to verify the behavior of the variety thus created.
The results were conclusive and underlined the importance of the creation of this variety with a view to its industrial exploitation for all uses, in particular for the winter production of cut flowers.
The characters and properties of the new variety, obtained as indicated above, are strictly transmissible by the agame route, also called asexual, that is to say by any means of vegetative propagation, in particular by grafting an "eye". who will be designated in
<EMI ID = 4.1>
it can be found both on industrial plants and on cut stems subsequently released in commerce. Thus we will once again obtain the variety of rose bush which is the subject of the patent, the botanical and descriptive characteristics of which, observed on greenhouse plants, are listed below.
