On disperse la scorie 1 dans une solution aqueuse 3 de phosphate de sodium et de monocarbonate de sodium et on refroidit la solution résultante 10 pour cristalliser conjointement du phosphate de sodium et du carbonate de sodium 14. Le procédé s'applique au traitement de scories de déphosphoration et de désulfuration de la fonte par le carbonate de sodium.
