Abstract
Procédé de mesure des contraintes longitudinales permanentes d'une feuille de verre flotté sur la ligne de production, dans lequel un faisceau lumineux polarisé passe dans la feuille de verre, les contraintes créant une biréfringence, le faisceau est analysé pour déterminer les modifications introduites par la biréfringence de la feuille et par suite la contrainte, la mesure des contraintes étant conduite en continu en 'balayant' la feuille sur toute sa largeur, simultanément une mesure est effectuée pour déterminer la tempéarature au point de la feuille sur lequel la contrainte est mesurée, la combinaison de ces deux mesures conduisant aux valeurs des contraintes.
