Abstract
Un réacteur nucléaire comportant une cuve de réacteur qui a une zone exposée à des neutrons à forte énergie émanant d'un noyau monté dans ladite cuve, comprend des panneaux de blindage munis de boitiers montés entre la cuve de réacteur et le noyau dans des régions où la cuve est exposée à des taux élevés de flux de neutrons, une substance consistant principalement en un métal lourd et de l'hydrogène étant disposée dans lesdits boitiers.
