Abstract

Selon le procédé de traitement, la matière en particules et notamment le tabac en feuilles hachées, disposée dans une zone de mise en mouvement délimitée par des parois (3-5) divergentes vers le haut, est soumise à un flux d'un milieu gazeux de mise en mouvement, alimenté par l'intermédiaire d'une série d'emplacements (6) pratiqués dans les parois, et de préférence, en meme temps, également à un flux d'un milieu gazeux d'accélération se propageant suivant une direction ascendante et provenant d'une région inférieure (13,14) de ladite zone. Les traitements envisagés comprennent le séchage, l'humidification, le chauffage, le refroidissement et le mélange.
