Abstract

" COMPOSIçAO DE VIDRO, E, DISPOSITIVO DE LIBERAçãO DE FLUORETO PARA O TRATAMENTO E/OU PREVENçãO DA CáRIE DENTáRIA ". Uma composição de vidro que possui a fórmula empírica geral dada abaixo, expressa em percentual em peso do elemento: P: 16-24, F: 5-30, 0: 20-40 e pelo menos um de Na, K, Li ou Al em uma quantidade até um total de 40% em peso e, opcionalmente, até 5% em peso de boro e/ou sílica. A composição pode ser usada para o tratamento e/ou prevenção de cáries dentárias, pelo fornecimento de um dispositivo de liberação lenta de fluoreto, que pode ser fixado a um dente para liberar fluoreto na saliva de uma pessoa.
