Abstract

"GERADOR DE GUIA EM IMAGEM COM SINTONIZADOR DIGITAL". Um gerador de guia em imagem tem uma saída adaptada para controlar um monitor de televisão e uma entrada adaptada para receber um sinal de televisão. Um gerador de display alimenta sinais de controle para a saída sincronizada do monitor de televisão. Informação EPG é extraída do sinal de televisão e armazenada na memória. O número de pixels usados para representar o sinal de televisão é reduzido. O número reduzido de sinal de televisão de pixels é armazenado na memória. Os dados EPG e o sinal de televisão são recuperados da memória e armazenados no gerador de display. Os dados EPG e o sinal de televisão são alimentados a partir do gerador de display para a saída em uma corrente contínua de dados solicitada para produzir um display de guia em imagem no monitor. O gerador de guia em imagem é implementado em um único chip de circuito integrado junto com o circuito que gera os gráficos. A adição de um sintonizador digital ao chip gerador de PIG permite que o gerador de PIG capture dados VBI a qualquer tempo, mesmo se o espectador estiver assistindo televisão, ou não.
