Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 発明の属する技術分野 本発明はテレビ技術分野に関するものであり、より詳
しくは、テレビ視聴モードと、テレビ放送される番組に
対する番組ガイド画面及び記録された番組に対するビデ
オテープインデックスガイド画面により構成されるガイ
ドモードとの間で切換を行うための方法と装置に関す
る。
発明の背景 視聴者に利用可能な番組に関する情報を提供するた
め、様々なタイプのオンスクリーンガイドを含んだテレ
ビジョンシステムが利用可能となっている。電子番組ガ
イド（EPG）は現に放送中の番組と将来放送される番組
に関する情報を提供する。EPGには、番組に関する時
刻、チャンネル、長さ、タイトルを提供する番組一覧が
含まれており、画面の別の部分に番組内容の簡単な説明
を提供することもできる。多くのEPGシステムは、タイ
プ、時刻、視聴者の好みごとに番組一覧を分類する能力
を備えている。
ビデオカセットレコーダ（VCR）用のテープインデッ
クスシステムにより、視聴者は自分のビデオテープライ
ブラリに記憶させた記録番組を識別できる。こうしたシ
ステムは又、ロードされたテープ上で利用可能なオンス
クリーン番組ディレクトリを提供し、そしてビデオテー
プを自動的にスキャンしテープ上に記憶された望みの番
組の位置へ行くことができる EPGとインデックスガイドのタイプの中には、選択し
たテレビ番組からのリアルタイムの動画像又は静止画像
を表示するため、画像内画像（PIP）ウィンドウ付きの
画面を有するものがある。
両タイプのガイド、即ちEPGとテープインデックスガ
イド、を備えたテレビジョンシステムを提供することが
望ましく、これによりガイドモードの際、様々なガイド
画面間の移動と、選択したテレビ番組を画面全体で見る
普通のテレビ視聴モードとガイドモードの間の移動が容
易になる。
又、ガイドモードでのPIPウィンドウ内に、普通のテ
レビ視聴モードで視聴者が欲する同じやり方で、どの番
組を表示するかを視聴者が制御できるようにすることが
望ましい。これには、チャンネル間の切換や、VCR出力
とチューナー出力の間の切換が含まれる。
発明の概要 本発明によるテレビジョンシステムは、テープインデ
ックス表示を生成するためのテープ索引付け＆探索（TI
S）装置と、EPG表示を生成するための電子番組ガイド
（EPG）装置と、記録されたテレビ番組を流すためのVCR
と、放映されたテレビ番組を受信するチューナーとを有
している。２つのガイド装置のビデオ出力はガイドスイ
ッチに接続され、チューナーとVCRのビデオ出力は番組
ソーススイッチに接続される。PIPチップは、操作され
ることによりガイドスイッチと番組ソーススイッチに接
続され、能動モード時に、PIPチップはテレビ画面上にP
IPウィンドウを表示し、選択された番組のリアルタイム
の動画像を、選択されたガイド情報を含む背景上に重ね
て表示する。
マイクロプロセッサーがPIPチップとスイッチの作動
を制御調整し、視聴者がガイドモードの様々な画面と普
通のテレビ視聴モードの間を移動できて、PIPウィンド
ウに望みの番組を表示できることが好ましい。
リモートコントローラ上のガイド／テレビのボタンを
押せば、視聴者はEPGとテープインデックスガイドのい
ずれのモードにも、普通のテレビモードから入ることが
可能で、いずれのガイドからもテレビ視聴モードに戻る
ことができる。テレビモード、ガイドモードいずれの場
合でも、番組ソースボタンにより、番組表示をチューナ
ーが同調した番組とVCRに掛かっている記録された番組
との間で切り替えることができる。ガイドモードの場
合、ガイド／インデックスボタンにより、EPGガイドと
テープインデックスガイドの間で切り替えることができ
る。テレビモードの場合、視聴者はPIPボタンにより、
一方の番組ソースから出力される番組を画面全体で見な
がら、他方の番組ソース、即ちチューナーかVCRのいず
れかから現に出力中の番組を視聴することができる。
図面の簡単な説明 本発明の実施するために考えられた最善のモードの特
定実施例を図面で示す。
図１は、本発明を実施する装置の概略ブロック図であ
る。

発明の詳細な説明 本発明の本好適実施例によるテレビシステムは、電子
番組ガイド（EPG）とテープインデックスガイドを組み
合わせている。EPGは、番組一覧の少なくとも一つの画
面を提供するタイプのものである。この一覧には、現に
放映中の番組と将来放送される番組が含まれていてもよ
い。番組一覧はカテゴリー別、時刻別に異なるガイド画
面で分類される。EPGは、現在放映中の番組を表示する
ため画像内画像（PIP）ウィンドウを含んでいる。視聴
者は、現に放映中の番組の一覧の間をカーソルで移動す
ることにより、PIPウィンドウ内に表示された番組を変
えることができ、これがガイド機能の一つである。
テープインデックスガイドシステムは、番組タイト
ル、チャンネル、月日、放送番組の長さ、といった情報
を解読するVBI解読器を備えたタイプのものであり、記
録テープ上に貯えられた番組のディレクトリを提供する
際とVCRを制御するのに当該情報を利用する。テープイ
ンデックスガイドシステムはまた、放映番組が現に記録
されているテープ上の、ビデオトラックのVBI部分かテ
ープの制御トラックのいずれかに、制御とディレクトリ
の情報を挿入するVBI暗号器も備えている。テープ上に
貯えられた制御とディレクトリの情報から、テープイン
デックスガイドシステムは、画面上に表示されるべき番
組ディレクトリを作り出す。ディレクトリにより視聴者
は、自分のテープライブラリ中の記録番組の位置を決定
し、VCRにロードされたテープ上の選択された番組の流
れを制御できる。オンスクリーンディレクトリは、PIP
ウィンドウを含んでいる。番組一覧がディレクトリ内で
選択される時に、PIPウィンドウは選択された番組全て
ないし番組から選択したビデオクリップを表示するのに
使用することもできる。
本発明のテレビシステムにより、視聴者はEPGとテー
プインデックスガイドのいずれのガイドにもテレビモー
ドからアクセスでき、更にガイドモードの最中に２つの
ガイド間を移動することもできる。
図１で、地上アンテナないしケーブルといったテレビ
信号ソース10を、テレビチューナー12により、番組ソー
ススイッチ14の一方の入力端に接続する。ビデオカセッ
トレコーダ（VCR）16のビデオ出力を、スイッチ14の他
方の入力端に接続する。EPG装置18をガイドスイッチ20
の一方の入力端に接続する。テープ索引付け＆探索（TI
S）装置22を、スイッチ20の他方の入力端に接続する。
スイッチ14、20の出力端を、従来のPIP集積回路チップ2
3の入力端に接続する。チップ23の出力を、画面（図示
せず）を有するテレビ24のビデオ入力端に接続する。PI
Pチップ23がオフになると、チューナー12ないしVCR16か
らのビデオ番組がテレビ24の画面全体に表示される。PI
Pチップ23がオンになると、チューナー12ないしVCR16か
らのビデオ番組が、画面のPIPウィンドウに表示される
一方で、EPG装置18ないしTIS装置22からのテキスト材料
が背景に表示される。EPG装置18ないしTIS装置22を有線
ないし無線手段（図示せず）によりチューナー12とVCR1
6に接続する。チューナー12とVCR16からの音声チャンネ
ルは、音声増幅器で拡声器（図示せず）に連結される
が、本拡声器はテレビの拡声器でもよい。リモートコン
トローラ26によりテレビ視聴者は装置を操作できる。種
々の部品の物理的な位置に従って、少なくとも一つのマ
イクロプロッセサーを使用して、リモートコントローラ
26に応答する種々の部品−スイッチ14、20を始めとす
る、EPG装置18、TIS装置22、チューナー12、VCR16、PIP
チップ23−を制御する。
図２に示す様にリモートコントローラ26は、GUIDE/TV
ボタン28、INDEXボタン30、PLAYボタン32、RECORDボタ
ン34、STOPボタン35を有し、これらボタンで図１の装置
の作動を制御する。以下に述べる代替実施例で、リモー
トコントローラはPIPボタンも有している。上下矢印ボ
タン36、38は、テレビ24のオンスクリーンカーソルの動
きを制御する。青（Ｂ）、緑（Ｇ）、黄（Ｙ）、赤
（Ｒ）の色付きの一例のボタン40、42、44、46は、種々
のガイド画面上で提供されるオンスクリーンのカラーコ
ード化されたプロンプトを選択するために使われる。
図３から図７の画面フォーマットは各々、背景エリア
52の上に重ねられるPIPウィンドウ50を有する。背景エ
リア52は、バナー＆メッセージプロンプトエリア54を画
面最上部に、番組説明エリア56をPIPウィンドウ50に隣
接する上方右コーナーに、番組一覧エリア58をエリア5
2、56の下側に有している。視聴者は、番組一覧エリア5
8に表示された行の一つを強調表示させるためにリモー
トコントローラ26上の矢印ボタン36、38を操作して、カ
ーソル60を垂直に移動させることができる。
装置の操作について、PIPチップ23をオフにしたテレ
ビモードを最初に述べる。テレビモードの場合、番組の
リアルタイムの動画がテレビの画面全体に表示される。
表示される番組はチューナー12が現に受信する放映中の
番組、VCR16中にロードされたビデオテープから流され
る記録番組のいずれでもよい。スイッチ14は、テレビ14
のビデオ入力がチューナー12、VCR16のどちらから来る
かを制御する。スイッチ14は、リモートコントローラ26
上のPLAYボタン32で制御される。PLAYボタンを押すと、
視聴者はテレビにつながる入力ソースを制御することに
なり、チューナーから出力される現に放映中の番組とVC
Rから現に出力中の記録番組との間での切換を、図9A、9
Bで示すように行うことになる。VCR16が記録番組を流し
てない場合、装置に関連したマイクロプロッセサー（図
示せず）は、スイッチ14がチューナー側に切り換わった
ままになるように制御する。代替としては、テープがVC
R16にロードされているものの流されてない場合、視聴
者がPLAYボタン32を押すと、マイクロプロッセサーは実
質的に同時にスイッチ14がVCR16に切り換わるように制
御し、VCRがテープを流すよう制御する（図9B）。
本好適実施例によれば視聴者は、EPG、テープインデ
ックスガイド、普通のテレビモードの間での選択をする
ことが可能となる。ここで使われている「テレビモー
ド」とは、現に放映中ないし記録済みの番組が画面全体
に表示される普通のテレビ視聴モードを指す。「ガイド
モード」とは、本発明によるガイド画面を表示すること
を指しており、EPG、テープインデックスガイドのいず
れであってもよい。ガイド画面は、背景エリア52中のグ
ラフィックスと、PIPウィンドウ50に表示される番組と
から成る。
リモートコントローラ26上のGUIDE/TVボタン28は、ガ
イドスイッチ20とPIPチップ23を制御し、テレビモード
とガイドモードの間の切換に使われる。視聴者がGUIDE/
TVボタン28を押すと、PIPチップ23はオンとなり、ガイ
ドスイッチ20は、EPG装置18ないしTIS装置22をPIPチッ
プ23に連結し、テレビ28はEPGないしテープインデック
スガイドを表示する。
ガイドスイッチ20を制御するマイクロプロッセサーは
番組ソースの条件に対して敏感であり、スイッチ14がチ
ューナー12に切り換わっている状態で、GUIDE/TVボタン
28が押された時には、マイクロプロッセサーはガイドス
イッチ20を制御し、EPG装置18をPIPチップ23と連結させ
ることが好ましい。これはテレビ24に図３の画面を表示
させることになる。こうしたやり方でEPGに直接入った
時には、テレビモードでテレビ28が同調した最後のチャ
ンネルが、例えばPBSチャンネル28と、番組一覧エリア5
8の先頭に表示され、EPG情報が一覧エリア58に表示され
る。番組一覧エリア58中にカーソル60で強調表示される
リアルタイム放映番組は、PIPウィンドウ50中にリアル
タイム動画像として、例えばABCチャンネル７での放映
番組と表示されエリア56に本番組に関する記述が図10A
のように表示されることになる。
代替的には、テレビモードでスイッチ14がVCR16に切
り換わっている状態で、かつ、視聴者がGUIDE/TVボタン
28を押すと、PIPチップ23はオンとなり、マイクロプロ
ッセサーはガイドスイッチ20を制御し、TIS装置22をテ
レビ24へ連結し、テープインデックスガイド情報が背景
エリア52中に、PIPウィンドウ50に表示されるVCRからの
番組出力と共に、図10Bのように表示される。
別の好適実施例で、VCRで流れているテープが制御と
ディレクトリの情報で暗号化されている場合、図７のテ
ープインデックスガイド画面が表示される。VCR16にロ
ードされたテープ上の番組ないし番組の部分のディレク
トリが、番組一覧エリア58中に表示される。PIPウィン
ドウに表示される番組一覧は、カーソル60で強調表示さ
れ、番組に関する記述がエリア56に表示される。視聴者
がカーソル60を別の番組一覧に動かした時、TIS装置22
はテープ上に貯えられた制御とディレクトリの情報を使
って番組サーチを開始させ、VCR16の位置を制御し、強
調表示された番組を待機させ、テープを流し、新たに選
択された記録番組をPIPウィンドウ50に表示するのが好
ましい。
VCRの機械的な制約のため、選択された番組ビデオテ
ープ上で位置決めするには１分以上を要する。従って、
視聴者がテープ上の記録番組のサーチに取りかかるま
で、そうした番組をVCRでサーチするのを遅らせること
が望ましい。これを達成させるのは、以下に述べる代替
実施例であり、ある実施例では、一覧エリア58中に番組
一覧がカーソル60で強調表示されるまでのセット時間だ
け例えば５秒間、番組サーチを遅らせる。別の実施例で
は、視聴者が、望みの番組上にカーソル60を位置決め
し、TIS装置をコマンドするリモートコントローラ上の
セットシークエンスボタンを押すことで、サーチを開始
する。
本発明の代替実施例によれば、選択した番組、例えば
図７の「When You Wish Upon Ａ Star」のプレイ
が一旦終わると、テープ索引付け＆探索装置22は、VCR
を自動的に停止するか、テープを巻き戻して選択した番
組のプレイを繰り返すか、テープを流し続けて次の番組
の「Belle」を表示するかのいずれを行ってもよい。視
聴者はSTOPボタン35を押して、番組を止めてもよい。
VCRにロードされたテープが制御とディレクトリの情
報で暗号化されてない場合、図４の画面を表示するのが
望ましい。装置22の装置メニューが一覧エリア58に表示
され、プロンプトメッセージがエリア56に表示される。
視聴者は実行されるべき機能を識別する番号を入力す
る。視聴者の目的は、流されるべき番組が貯えられたビ
デオテープを識別することである。視聴者がビデオテー
プ番号で番組を見つけだそうとする場合、視聴者が番号
「１」を入力すると、図５に示す画面がテレビ24に表示
される。視聴者がタイトルで番組を見つけだそうとし
て、視聴者が番号「２」を入力すると、図６に示す画面
がテレビ24に表示される。適切なテープがVCRにロード
された後、図７に示す画面が表示される。番組をタイト
ル（図６）でサーチした場合、図７の画面に入った時
に、選択された番組がカーソル60で強調表示される。番
組をテープ番号でサーチした場合、テープの先頭に貯え
られた番組はカーソル60で一覧エリア58に強調表示され
る。図７の画面の場合、視聴者がPLAYボタン32を押す
と、TIS装置22は番組サーチを開始する。上記のようにT
IS装置22はVCR16を制御し、カーソル60で選択されたテ
ープ上の番組を位置決めし、該テープを流し、選択され
た番組をPIPウィンドウ50に表示する。代替実施例で
は、適切なテープがロードされるとTIS装置22は選択さ
れた番組サーチを自動的に開始する。
ガイドモードでは、INDEXボタン30はスイッチ20を制
御する。従って視聴者は、図３に示すようなEPG画面か
ら、図４に示すようなテープインデックスガイド画面に
切り換えてもよく、図11A、11Bに示すようにその逆の切
換をしてもよい。本発明によると、スイッチ20のみがIN
DEXボタン30で制御されるので、背景52がEPGとテープイ
ンデックスガイドの間で切り換ってもPIPウィンドウ50
に表示中の番組は変わらない。INDEXボタンはテレビモ
ードでは操作できないのが望ましい。
PLAYボタン32は、テレビモード、ガイドモードのいず
れでも番組ソーススイッチ14制御し、チューナー12とVC
R16の間の切換を行う。従って視聴者はガイドモードの
最中に、VCR16からの番組出力とチューナー12からの番
組出力の間の切換をPIPウィンドウ50の中で行ってもよ
い。またテープがVCR16にロードされてはいるが流され
ていない場合、番組ソーススイッチ14がチューナー12か
らVCR16へ切り換えられた時に、PLAYボタン32を押す
と、VCRはテープを流し始めることになる。チューナー
が同調した番組の番組一覧を含んだハイライトエリア62
は、テープインデックスガイド画面のエリア52に含まれ
るのが望ましい。これにより視聴者は、テープインデッ
クスガイド中で、PIPウィンドウ50中に表示された現に
放映中の番組を識別できる。
視聴者がEPGからテープインデックスガイドに入りか
つビデオテープがVCR16にロードされていない場合、テ
レビ24は、チューナーからの番組出力をPIPウィンドウ5
0に表示した図４の画面（例えば、ABCチャンネル７）を
表示するのが望ましい。視聴者は上記のように、図４の
画面から図７の画面へと移動する。カーソル60が強調表
示した一覧エリア58の記録番組の記述がエリア56に表示
される。従って視聴者は、PIPウィンドウ50に現に放映
中の番組を見続けながら、矢印キー36、38でカーソル60
を動かすことで、エリア56の記録番組の記述をスキャン
することができる。視聴者が望みの番組が記録されたビ
デオテープを識別してVCR16にロードした後、図７の画
面が表示される。視聴者が事前にテープを知っている場
合、INDEXボタン30を押す前にVCR16にテープをロードす
ることで、図４から図６のメニューをバイパスすること
ができる。
視聴者は、EPG、テープインデックスガイドのいずれ
からも、GUIDE/TVボタン28を使ってガイドモードを抜け
出すことができる。ガイドモードの最中にユーザーがGU
IDE/TVボタンを押すと、PIPチップ23はオフになる。従
って番組ソーススイッチ14が切り換えられて接続された
番組ソース、即ちチューナー12かVCR16、はテレビに直
接連結されて、番組ソースからの番組出力は画面全体に
図12A、12Bのように表示される。
上記全モードで、PIPウィンドウ50に表示されるビデ
オ番組の音声は、テレビ24の拡声器で再現される。
本発明の更に別の実施例によると、PIPウィンドウ60
をテレビモードで表示するように装置を構成してもよ
く、こうすると視聴者は、VCR16が現に出力中の記録番
組とチューナー12から出力される現に放映中の番組を同
時に視聴することができる。図８に示すように、VCR16
とチューナー12は両者共、TIS装置22、EPG装置18、VCR1
6、チューナー12から入力されるビデオ信号間での切換
をするスイッチ20′に接続される。本実施例によると、
PIPボタン62がリモートコントローラ26（図２）上に備
えられている。スイッチ20′は、スイッチ14の条件に対
して敏感なマイクロプロッセサー（図示せず）で制御さ
れる。テレビモードで視聴者がPIPボタン63を押すと、P
IPチップはオンとなり、コントローラは、番組ソースの
スイッチ14とスイッチ20′の各々を制御してチューナー
ないしVCRの出力への切換を行い、現に画面全体で表示
されている前回の最後の番組が背景52に、他方の部品
（VCR16ないしチューナー12）からの番組がPIPウィンド
ウ60に、図13A、13Bのように表示される。PIPボタン63
が押された時に、チューナーが選択されてかつVCRから
出力中の番組がなければ、マイクロプロッセサーはPIP
回路をオンさせず代わりに、VCRにテープがない又はVCR
が流れていないことを示す、VCRの条件に依存したプロ
ンプトを表示するのが好ましい。装置がガイドモードで
ある間、PIPボタン63は操作できないのが好ましい。
本発明の特定の好適実施例をここに述べてきたが、多
くの変更や修正が当業者にすれば明らかである。従っ
て、本発明の範囲は付属の請求項目によってのみ制限さ
れると理解されねばならない。

Claims (18)

    (57)【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項１】視聴のために番組を選択する方法におい
    て、 記憶媒体に記録された複数の番組のディレクトリを生成
    する段階であって、前記ディレクトリは、前記記録され
    た番組のタイトルと該記録された番組の位置とを含む、
    前記段階と、 複数の情報提供者から放送される複数の番組のディレク
    トリを生成する段階であって、前記ディレクトリは、前
    記放送される番組のタイトルと該放送される番組のチャ
    ンネルとを含む、前記段階と、 記録された番組の前記ディレクトリと放送される番組の
    前記ディレクトリを二者択一的に表示する段階と、 前記放送される番組の内の１つからの番組あるいは前記
    記録された番組の内の１つからの番組を、表示されるデ
    ィレクトリと同時に二者択一的に表示する段階と、 前記表示する段階で表示された記録された番組の前記デ
    ィレクトリからの番組タイトルのうち１つを目立たせる
    段階と、 前記目立たせられた番組タイトルに対応する番組を検索
    する段階と、 前記表示された番組を前記検索された番組で置き換える
    ことによって、前記表示されたディレクトリと同時に前
    記検索された番組を表示する段階と、 を備えることを特徴とする方法。
  2. 【請求項２】所望の番組を受信するチャンネルへテレビ
    チューナーを同調させて前記所望の番組に代えて前記検
    索された番組にする段階を更に備える請求項１記載の方
    法。
  3. 【請求項３】前記検索する段階は、前記目立たせられた
    番組をこの目立たせられた番組に対応する位置にて前記
    記憶媒体から検索することを備える請求項１記載の方
    法。
  4. 【請求項４】前記検索する段階は、前記目立たせられた
    番組が放送されているチャンネルへテレビチューナーを
    同調させることを備える請求項１記載の方法。
  5. 【請求項５】前記ディレクトリと同時に前記検索された
    番組を画面上に表示する前記段階は、前記検索された番
    組をPIPウィンドウに表示する請求項１記載の方法。
  6. 【請求項６】前記生成する段階は、ビデオカセットテー
    プ上に記録された番組のディレクトリを生成する請求項
    １記載の方法。
  7. 【請求項７】前記検索された番組を画面上に全画面フォ
    ーマットで表示する段階を更に備える請求項１記載の方
    法。
  8. 【請求項８】所望の番組を受信するチャンネルへテレビ
    チューナーを同調させて前記所望の番組に代えて前記検
    索された番組にする段階を更に備える請求項７記載の方
    法。
  9. 【請求項９】VCRによって流される、若しくは、テレビ
    チューナーによって受信される番組を選択する装置にお
    いて、 画面を有するテレビモニタと、 前記画面上の第１の領域に表示されるべき信号を受信す
    る第１の入力と、前記画面上の第２の領域に表示される
    べき信号を受信する第２の入力とを有するビデオ信号ミ
    クサと、 ビデオカセットテープを受け入れるVCRと、 テレビチューナーと、 前記VCRと前記テレビチューナーを前記ビデオ信号ミク
    サの第１の入力に二者択一的に接続する第１のスイッチ
    と、 放送されるテレビ番組に関する電子番組ガイド（EPG）
    の第１のソースと、 前記VCRによって受け入れられたビデオカセットテープ
    に関するテープディレクトリデータの第２のソースと、 前記テープディレクトリデータから記録された番組を選
    択するように構成された番組セレクタと、 前記ビデオカセットテープに記録された番組、若しく
    は、放送されるテレビ番組からの放送される番組を前記
    第１の領域に、及び、EPGデータ、若しくは、前記テー
    プディレクトリデータを前記第２の領域に、同時に表示
    するため、前記第１のソースと前記第２のソースを前記
    ビデオ信号ミクサの前記第２の入力に二者択一的に接続
    する第２のスイッチと、を備え、 前記第２のスイッチは、前記番組セレクタが前記テープ
    ディレクトリデータから前記記録された番組を選択する
    ときに、前記第１の領域中に表示されている番組を置き
    換えるために前記選択された番組を提供することを特徴
    とする装置。
  10. 【請求項１０】前記ビデオミクサはPIPチップである請
    求項９記載の装置。
  11. 【請求項１１】前記第１のソースは放送される番組のタ
    イトルデータを備える請求項９記載の装置。
  12. 【請求項１２】前記第１のソースは放送される番組のチ
    ャンネル指定データを備える請求項９記載の装置。
  13. 【請求項１３】前記第１のソースは放送される番組の開
    始時間データを備える請求項９記載の装置。
  14. 【請求項１４】前記第１のソースは放送される番組の記
    述データを備える請求項９記載の装置。
  15. 【請求項１５】前記第２のソースは記録される番組のタ
    イトルデータを備える請求項９記載の装置。
  16. 【請求項１６】前記第２の領域における複数のタイトル
    のうちの１つを目立たせて、該目立たされたタイトルに
    対応する番組を前記第１の領域に表示する手段を更に備
    える請求項15記載の装置。
  17. 【請求項１７】前記第２のソースは記録された番組の長
    さデータを備える請求項９記載の装置。
  18. 【請求項１８】前記第２のソースは記録された番組の記
    述データを備える請求項９記載の装置。
