Abstract

"MéTODO PARA O TRATAMENTO DA SUPERFìCIE DE UMA LENTE REFRATIVA FáQUICA (PRL), LENTE REFRATIVA FáQUICA, E, MéTODO DE FABRICAçãO DA MESMA". Um método de preparação de lentes intraoculares fáquicas a partir de materiais hidrofóbicos é descrito. Neste processo, a lente é testada para determinar se pode flutuar submersa em um meio aquoso. Se não pode (por exemplo, se permanece na parte superior do meio aquoso), a lente é tratada superficialmente (por exemplo, por UV a vácuo ou processos de descarga de coroa) para aumentar sua capacidade de umedecimento (por exemplo, reduzir sua hidrofobicidade).
