Abstract
"MéTODO PARA PROVER ACESSO DENTRO DE UM OLHO DURANTE UM PROCEDIMENTO CIRúRGICO OCULAR, MéTODO PARA TRATAR UM SEGMENTO POSTERIOR DE UM OLHO, INSTRUMENTO DE CORTE/ASPIRAçãO DE VìTREO DE ALTA VELOCIDADE, CONJUNTO DE DISPOSITIVOS, E, FóRCEPS". Caracterizados são métodos novos para executar cirurgia intra-ocular que permitem pessoal cirúrgico acessar o volume intra-ocular para executar um procedimento cirúrgico ou técnica, mas que nao requer o uso de suturas para vedar a esclerótica e/ou conjuntiva seguindo o procedimento. Os métodos da presente invenção geralmente incluem prover um dispositivo de alinhamento de entrada e inserir o dispositivo de alinhamento de entrada em um olho por ambas a conjuntiva e esclerótica, para formar uma abertura de entrada que se estende entre o exterior do olho e o volume intra-ocular dentro do olho. O dispositivo de alinhamento provido é configurado para formar assim ou prover uma abertura ou orifício em cada uma dentre a conjuntiva e a esclerótica do olho e manter estas aberturas ou orifícios em cada uma dentre a conjuntiva e a esclerótica alinhadas durante o procedimento cirúrgico, assim estas aberturas ou orifícios formam a abertura de entrada. Em aspectos mais particulares, o dispositivo de alinhamento de entrada provido é dimensionado, de tal forma que quando o dispositivo de alinhamento de entrada é removido do olho seguindo a conclusão do procedimento cirúrgico, a abertura ou orifício formado na esclerótica fecha sem o uso de suturas. Em um aspecto mais específico da presente invenção, o dispositivo de alinhamento de entrada provido é dimensionado, de tal forma que as aberturas ou orifícios e assim a abertura de entrada sejam auto-selantes. Em outras concretizações, uma pluralidade de dispositivos de alinhamento de entrada é assim provida, assim uma pluralidade de aberturas de entrada pode ser formada no olho. A invenção também caracteriza um dispositivo de corte e aspiração de vítreo de alta velocidade, particularmente configurado para uso em tais métodos e procedimentos cirúrgicos e técnicas, como também os dispositivos de alinhamento de entrada relacionados e outros instrumentos cirúrgicos.
