Abstract

"FERRAMENTAS ABRASIVAS COM LIGA VITRIFICADA". A presente invenção refere-se provê uma ferramenta abrasiva com liga vitrificada em que a porção de grão abrasivo compreende um grão abrasivo termicamente sensível, como grão abrasivo de alfa alumina micro-cristalina sol-gel sinterizada ou grão superabrasivo, e em que a liga vitrificada pode ser maturada por queima em uma temperatura de cerca de 700 a 1100<198>C. A invenção é, preferivelmente, realizada com grão abrasivo de alfa alumina microcristalina sol-gel sinterizada e uma composição de liga vitrificada de borossilicato de metal alcalino contendo óxido de fósforo. Em uma modalidade, durante a queima em cerca de 700 a 1100<198>C, a liga vitrificada da invenção compreende pelo menos duas fases amorfas imiscíveis.
