Abstract

"MéTODOS E COMPOSIçõES PARA DETECçãO DE TAENIA SOLIUM LARVáRIO COM UM ANTìGENO DE DIAGNóSTICO CLONADO". A presente invenção refere-se a composições e métodos para a detecção de Taenia solium e o diagnóstico de infecção de T. solium. São providas as seq³ências de aminoácidos e de nucleotídeos dos polipeptídeos de T. solium antigênicos gp50a, gp50b e gp50c. As composições contêm polipeptídeos antigênicos sintéticos de origem larvária preparadas usando-se as seq³ências descritas aqui. Sondas e iniciadores para a detecção ou ampliação de moléculas de ácido nucléico de T. solium são também descritos. Os polipeptídeos podem ser administrados a um ser humano ou animal para proteger contra infecção de T. solium. Além disso, os polipeptídeos são úteis como ferramentas de pesquisa para o estudo de T. solium e como reagentes em ensaios para a detecção de anticorpos de T. solium em uma amostra biológica. Os métodos são ensaios sensíveis e específicos que utilizam os polipeptídeos antigênicos recombinantes ou sintéticos ou moléculas de ácido nucléico estáveis que codificam os polipeptídeos larvários.
