"PLANTA, SEMENTE, MéTODOS DE AUMENTAR O TEOR DE GLUTAMATO EM UMA PLANTA E/OU UMA SEMENTE, E DE PRODUZIR UMA SEMENTE TENDO TEOR DE GLUTAMATO AUMENTADO, USOS DA PLANTA, E DA SEMENTE, E, ALIMENTO". é intencionado fornecer um método de elevar o teor de ácido glutâmico em uma planta e/ou sua semente; plantas e sementes tendo teores de ácido glutâmico elevados; utilização de uma planta e/ou sementes tendo um teor de ácido glutâmico elevado na produção de um alimento; e alimentos contendo plantas e sementes tendo teores de ácido glutâmico elevados. Isto é, um método de elevar o teor de ácido glutâmico em uma planta e/ou suas sementes caracterizado por inativar GGT ou diminuir a sua atividade; e plantas e/ou sementes em que GGT foi inativada ou sua atividade foi diminuída e que têm teores de ácido glutâmico elevados comparado com, em particular, as plantas selvagens correspondentes cultivadas sob as mesmas condições.
